I've seen it going on in all levels of player organization, sometimes of course it just happens like while sitting at a red light. Bungie's community manager spoke about official Sparrow Races as a possibility for the future today, but only vaguely. With all the customization and upgrades possible for ones Sparrow, this seems like a natural fit for an event at least.
I like the sound of this. Destiny could use another dynamic to add a little variety to the proceedings, and this might help.
My thoughts exactly, honestly I think the "old" Bungie would have had this down already. When folks started the "Infection" mode or "Zombie" mode within Halo 2 based solely on the honor system, they responded by making it a fully supported game type with it's own playlist in 3 .
Let's hope we don't have to wait for "Destiny 2" in order to participate in sanctioned Sparrow racing (trick events with the Tumbler may be a tad harder to score, unfortunately).
Personally I would prefer a 'horde' type mode. Something like defending a 'base' type area against increasing number of enemies of all the different types. Kind of like the 'prevent the Vex Sacrifices' on Venus but with the Fallen, Hive and Cabal too. Imagine trying to survive against a wave of Ogres, wizards and then having to fight waves of Hydra's, Praetorians etc. Maybe the real high waves could have the bosses like Archon Priests, Valus, and Sepkis
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
