Topic: Locked Out of My Account

Hello, I am at my wits end:-( I have a special needs son who tried to log in to our Xbox too many times and they blocked the account.

I went in and changed the PW but it STILL says I am locked out.

Try to schedule a call and you have to SIGN IN!!! It's insane.

Can anyone help me with a workaround?

If I create a totally new account how do I tie it to the old one?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

It never happened to me but I did a search on Google and their support page says you can call to receive an activation code (does not need to be from a number tied to the Xbox account)

@bucky9550 Unfortunately there is no work around. Just contact Microsoft and explain the situation and they can reset the password.

Gentlemen, I have tried six ways to Sunday to contact Microsoft and find no way of successfully doing so. I’ve searched emails and phone numbers and every phone number takes you back to the site indicating there is no live support.

I was even able to find the CEOs email address to which I sent my inquiry.

I appreciate the help but man is this frustrating. Do you know if you create a new account if you lose everything you’ve downloaded or bought with the previous account?

@bucky9550 Well, yes because purchases are tied to that account. Have you tried contacting them on social media? Twitter, Facebook etc. Other then that as I said there is no work around, the only way is to contact Microsoft. You might just have to wait till someone calls/contacts you back.

@bucky9550 I find that if you can't reach them any other way, social media usually works.

I recently got an email from Microsoft saying that they were going to close my Microsoft account due to inactivity. So I had to sign in. I wonder if they close your account that will also affect your Xbox too.
