Topic: Hard Mode

So, I'm just looking through my Triumphs before Year 2 begins and note several things:

1) I'm missing hard mode for the two raids
2) I'm missing Level 35 Skolas Prison of Elders
3) I'm missing a few golden chests
4) I'm missing about 97 PVP wins

3+4 I can do by myself but 1+2 I cannot do alone. I'm looking to get a few people together to run both the Vault of Glass and Crota's End on hard mode...back to back. That's right, this marathon game session could take a long time but great prep for Year 2. I'm looking for volunteers this weekend Saturday night. Who's in?

I'll have a go, but I'll suggest we need people with Crota experience....

And I need Skolas and Crota on Hard.

Ok, this Saturday was a bit of a washout but I'm determined to finish my Triumphs. Here's the running stats so far:

1) Still missing both Raids
2) Still missing LVL 35 Skolas
3) Found all the golden chests
4) I'm at 51/100 PVP "wins".

I say that final one in quotations as I have really only played about 7-8 games of which I estimate 75% of were losses. Destiny seems to count any PVP game as a "win" giving more points for a successful game than a loss. Therefore, even if you get all ragey (and if you haven't played PVP with me you don't know the true definition) and have a K/D <1 you are still working towards the goal.

I'm earmarking Friday the 21st of August for Atheon Hard with Crota Hard coming the next night. If we don't make the numbers I will be putting up an ad on destinylfg so they are going to run with or without you. Sorry for the blunt nature of this post but I really want this under my belt.

@DesignateTurian: If you want any help, just send me a message as to when you intend to start. I have both Raids on Hard completed but I don't have the things from 'House of Wolves'. I think I would need to spend a week playing to be able to do the 35 Skolas as I am still at 32 with all 3. I haven't played since I got everything from the Dark Below...

Ok, tonight I'm spamming PoE with @Red620Ti and KickintheBullocks on the hunt for armor cores. Crota will be run Thursday night at 10pm.

Ok, the summary so far:

1) Atheon and Crota on Hard COMPLETE thanks to an epic sword bearer from the US. Be wary of LFG as it yields...interesting results.
2) Skolas Prison of Elders INCOMPLETE
3) Find all golden chests COMPLETE
4) 100 PVP wins INCOMPLETE

I'm taking a break from Destiny for tonight as I'm getting to burnout. We only have 14 days left as of this message so there is plenty of time. Worst case scenario we pull two LFGs in for a lvl 34 PoE and drag ourselves through it one at a time. It nets us etheric light every time so we can rank up individually and tackle PoE. Anyone want in just say.

I will happily assist in the Crucibubble if you are content with the original set of maps and modes.

@DesignateTurian: Have you managed to beat Skolas on Hard yet? I still need/want to do this as its now the only thing I have left to do for my Moments of Triumph.

@BAMozzy - we did it on our second run through after so many clutch moments you could have mistaken it for an episode of Top Gear. Unfortunately I'm now going to be busy for the majority of September due to work commitments so won't be able to help but others may be able.

@DesignateTurian: Thanks for replying. I managed to get it done myself with my lvl 33 hunter and a couple of 34's from LFG yesterday evening. I won't lie, I found it tough as a 33 but certainly didn't let myself or my team-mates down even though I was under-level - severely under-level compared to some enemies but my 365 Gjallahorn and Fatebringer saw me through...

Will you (and anyone else) be getting the Taken King? I certainly miss playing with the 'Alpha' team and would be great to have a get together game night with everyone. I still want to try and get the last achievement too - complete a raid without anyone dying.

@BAMozzy no worries mate, glad it went well. Yeah, I'm picking up The Taken King at launch even though I'm at a conference at which I'm speaking the day after. We will definitely have to get a game night together for the Raid when it launches, looking forward to it. As for nobody dying that sounds like a long weekend and Atheon on easy
