The truth is that, at least until Firaxis buck up their ideas, the most important game to get backward compatabilitied is [s]Civ Rev[/s] XCOM EU and EW.
Feel free to add me on Xbox Live. Currently playing: Wolfenstein New Order, XCOM EW, MKX, other stuff.
@consolfreak1982: Hi consolfreak1982, yes you will donwload the full game from the store.
This is what I had to do to play Mass Effect!

@ Diamond78: thanks for the reply - do you also know if I can purchase full retail 360 games from the One Store when the backwards compatibility is accessible to everyone?Ive heard somewhere that you need the disc and then download a patch or something to make it work on the One, but I buy my games digital only so I was just wondering if that will be possible ^^
@consolfreak1982 welcome to the pX forums, I don't believe I've said hi yet @Diamond78 is correct, you will need to install the game which downloads from the Xbox One store. However and as far as I'm aware this will require you to have the physical disk before you can download the game but this may change. On that note you currently need to be a member of the preview program to access this feature with the full catalogue launching in November for the global audience.
Thinking about an Xbox 360 store page on Xbox One wouldn't take much effort on MS part. The game downloads from a server so theoretically they could put in an "Xbox 360 Retro"...([shudder], have I become so old?) slot on the Store page.
@DesignateTurian - thanks for the welcome - and: hi ^^
seems like its just as I figured - I was just asking because I want to play Persona4 Arena Ultimax once it is backwards compatible (if it will ever be of course ... lol) which means I would have to buy the disc somewhere which is not so easy here in europe (well, i can order online i know but I just dont like that .. im a bit old fashioned i guess, my age shows lmao)
thanks for the reply though
Hmm, well of the games I own, I would like to be able to play either Fable 2 or Fable Anniversary on the Xbox One. Given Fable Anniversary (as much as I look forward to it), doesn't play like a traditional Fable game, it would make sense. I certainly wouldn't mind being able to play Eternal Sonata on my Xbox One either.
Most of the other games I own for the Xbox 360 are games with newer instalments on the Xbox One. With Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend, and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 being available on Xbox One, I don't have much of a need for backwards compatibility for the Xbox 360 entries of those games. Admittedly, there are two Xbox 360's in the house (my younger brother and oldest brother own one each), so no backwards compatibility is really needed, but it would be nice to be able play the games on the system I own myself.
In regards to games I don't own yet; I've been spotting Lost Odyssey for only £4. I'll probably pick it up soon, and being able to play it on my Xbox One would be great. I believe there are two Naruto games that are exclusive to the Xbox 360; Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Naruto: The Broken Bond. If I can find them, I wouldn't mind picking them up and playing them on my Xbox One.
It's a good start but have to agree I expected more full price titles (where's Alan Wake?)... I just hope they stay true to their word and build on it (significantly) and don't let it wither and die like they did on the 360 with the original BC catalogue.
Having said that BLops1, Halo Reach and Wars plus all of the Bioshock titles are imminent too... and this is completely FOC not £12.99 a month
I'm probably in a minority here, but I'm not bothered about playing 360 games on my XB1. Space is already a premium and I want to keep it for XB1 titles. I kept my 360 due to the crap trade-in price, but I could count on one hand the number of times I wanted to fire it up since Nov 2013. I was the same when I upgraded from PS1 to PS2...even though (if memory serves) it was backward compatible, I never wanted to play older titles.
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.
@Captain_Chao5: I'm not overly bothered either apart from the fact that I could then store all my Xbox free games with gold on one hard drive and get rid (reuse) all of the USB sticks I've got around the place.
Xbox 360: Resident Evil 5 Gold edition, Resident Evil 6, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II.
Xbox: Conker Reload, Fatal Frame/Project Zero Special Edition.
I never thought I would say this, but I think that Microsoft is the one that cares more about players at the moment, with all the changes they made to the Xbox One concept, the backwards compatibility free of extra charge, the site for games requests, the optional elite controller and the way Phil Spencer (this reminds me of my dear Resident Evil LOL) speaks about users. I don't have any Xbox yet but I'll get the Elite bundle.
