@RDDMarston Not really. Your better of buying a physical copy from somewhere like Gamestop as it is always on sale there. Activision usually keeps the CoD games at regular price and once in awhile they go on sale. It's crazy that they still want $60 for games like the original Modern Warfare and Black Ops.
Also becareful with older CoD games. If you are buying it to play the single player campaign that's fine but Multiplayer is a complete mess. It's full of hackers and it puts your information at risk. Stuff like your IP address and payment information. If you want to play multiplayer, you will be better off waiting for XDefiant or getting Modern Warfare II.

@Tasuki Thanks for the info. Yes, I am really only looking for campaign. Yes, it is INSANE that we pay $70 for a CROSS-GEN and SUPER hyped game like Modern Warfare II, but want us to pay $60 for a game five years ago! Sounds absurd from their behalf... I will say that they could be making more money. Activision, by making older games always on sale could definitely grab a hold of those who have not played these games before or want to play them again. Charging MSRP is absurd. Like a CoD game from the Xbox 360 at $30? What? I can get a copy of the same game at Lukiegames for my Xbox 360 at less than $5!
Anyways... so it is better to take a hold of the offer? I recently purchased a Series S, so I can only get my stuff online. If it is so that only once in a while there are discounts, I can brace myself on other games and buy this one instead.
I have been told that RDR2 gets on discount more often. Do you have any idea of how often (ex. 3 weeks)? I've been holding up my purchase money in hopes that next week it gets on sale... what if it doesn't get to $20, and that would be above my gaming budget, especially for a 5-year old game.
Thanks.
Hey, so Let's say I buy Red Dead Online. Can I later buy RDR2 Story Mode by itself later on? I see a listing for only the story mode in the Xbox Store (laptop) for $39.99 on regular price. Can I buy RDR2 Story Mode alone on the Xbox store on my Xbox Series S? I noticed this game does not have Smart Delivery unfortunately...
@RDDMarston Unfortunately I don't know how often Red Dead Redemption 2 goes on sale since I already own that game on PS4.
Yeah it is crazy how companies keep the digital prices at the same price even years after a game came out. That's one reason I opted for the Series X first. Even though most of my library is digital I like the option of being able to run discs especially if I can find them cheaper then digital copies.

Still working my way through Tomb Raider DE. I absolutely adore this game. It reminds me if 3d Zelda, prince of Persia, and Indiana jones all had a baby.

Such a fantastic game. I personalaly like them all quite a bit.
@Captain_Chozo
Legend was the first Tomb Raider game I decided to playthrough to complete way back during summer 2006. Had a great time with it, still enjoy it today. I actually like that and Underworld a little better than the newer Tomb Raiders although Rise is fantastic.
@Gamer83 I do think Legend and Shadow are my top 2. I am going to pull the trigger on Anniversary when it goes on sale one day and give it a go (never played).
I am finishing the marathon of all Kingdom hearts games with the final chapter so far Kingdom Hearts 3.
Visually speaking is quite the marvel however it is hardly a game as it probably has at least 2/3 of the time as cutscenes and quite long loading screens even on series X... Atm it is probably my least favourite in the series
I'm currently playing through Far Cry 5 (whenever I have the time, which lately has been basically never lol) and enjoying it more than I expected to.
I mean Far Cry is a guilty pleasure of mine so I always expected to enjoy it, although I was never that interested in 5's setting and I got a bit sour on 6's systems.
I find 5 to be way stronger than 6 mechanically, even though I think character progression was at its best in 4, where all you did gave you EXP to spend for skills (if I'm not misremembering).
I don't really like how 5 ties progression to a series of arbitrary challenges, but that's still way better than the useless gear system of 6.
All in all, though, I really like it and have a lot of fun with it, and in the end it might even edge over 4 and become my personal favourite in the series.
I've started elden ring. About 2 hrs in and I'm a tad overwhelmed and confused. I'm sure that's how most feel starting this game though. I'm not leveling up for some reason. I've read you need to find the maiden after doing 3 grace sites or whatever, but I've done more than 3 and nothing has happened.
Combat is a tad clunky but it's not terrible. The world is gorgeous to look at, though. I haven't found my horse yet either, and I heard that makes the game a lot easier. So far I am getting my arse kicked but I assume it's a mixture of my fault and the clunky controls. Hoping I can really find a groove because I wasn't able to in dark souls 1.
@NintendoByNature follow the yellow line on the map to unlock the levelling as it is tied to the main story. You don't need to go far but I also got distracted for a while and did not go there directly
Very close to finishing Kingdom hearts 3 (probably tonight). My gripes with it remain but I am enjoying the story bits in the last section, let's see if it ends on a high note.
Was about to start the Benedict Fox game but while installing I have started Loop Hero instead.
It grabbed and I am having fun with it but not sure I will have the patience for its grind as it looks to be a fairly long game
