Topic: Multiplayer setup questions 2 or 3 locally vs 1 remote

Just starting to delve into the world of multiplayer.

I had a thought though: is it OK for 2 local players in the same room, on the same console to play against one other remote player? I'm thinking specifically FC24 and Halo multiplayer initially, maybe also hot wheels 1 and forza horizon 5.

I'm thinking there could be complications with the 2 local players in terms of who is logged in to the console.

Or am I worrying about nothing?
