Those other kids think they're so cool beta testing a new console on launch! Pfft. We'll have all the kinks worked out when we get a stable product 24h later.......yeah......that's the ticket!
That's crazy. I just watched his Sea of Thieves video and the difference was incredible, there's been times when I thought my One X had crashed, it takes that long to load. My stepson isn't going to be happy when I sail away before he even spawns into the game 😂
Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.
@AJDarkstar That's great! It sounded like it was going to happen, but I know that feeling. I was like that with Switch. I was up until almost 3:00Am unable to sleep that night before waiting for my "label was created" status to become an actual scan with an actual expected delivery date!
Tomorrow I'll be checking my updates constantly and I'll be sure someone's listening for that doorbell all day. I have a ton of work to do so it's really not helping me out.
@AJDarkstar so far, no word from Walmart. They gave themselves into Thurs to get it here on my original order, apparently, so technically they're not late yet, but it's a little of putting that everyone else shipped and they didn't.... Not sure if that's worrying or not...i did get that preorder info email yesterday so it's probably fine.
It's kind of amazing though. Walmart, the store that broke all heck with the ps5 preorders, seems to be the only store unable to fulfill their xsx preorders today. I don't know how they're going to keep up. They're behind with xsx pre-orders today. Tomorrow they're taking new xsx release orders. By the next day they're supposed to be fulfilling ps5 pre-orders. And the day after that they're taking new ps5 release orders. How they heck are they keeping up with the next 3 days if they're already behind on the first orders? I can't imagine them shipping a single PlayStation until next week at the earliest... They can't even ship the xboxen in time.....
Edit: well, how's that for suspense.... They waited until midnight to send the email they shipped it.... And it should arrive launch day after all!!
So walmart kept me in suspense all day and ended up getting it on time for launch, and target emailed me first thing in the am and will miss a day.... . Best buy nailed it with early notification and launch arrival (presumably, if it misses now it's not the stores fault, the carrier shows the dates at this point, so further delay would be carrier related.)
As of now it looks like I'm getting one xsx for the launch, and the second arrives the day after. One stress done... Now to get over the ps5 hump. The xsx was the more important one tbh though. Ps5 is for Sony games, xsx for everything else, though who am i kidding... Switch still dominates my play time.

Yeah, Walmart really came through. I was shocked to see it show shipped with an ETA of launch day! If FedEx is saying Wednesday 11/12 for your Target order, that's probably accurate since that's when my Target order is showing as well. Once it's in the carrier's hands, it's all them.
It seems like just yesterday that I had 44 days on the countdown. It doesn't seem quite real yet this is actually a thing that is happening! It's far from my first console launch....but it's the most surreal one by far.
Damn looks like I might be out of luck. Been to 3 Gamestops in my area and all are sold out. Looks like I will be waiting a year or so to get one like I did with the Switch ☹️
