I'm having trouble here, any help much appreciated.
When I open a game, I've tried this with 3 different games now, the game will open and I can play. But.. when it would normally pop up and sign in/sync cloud storage I get a message that says " can't sign in. A problem occurred while signing in. Please try again"
I checked my connection and the Xbox says it's connected to the internet. What do I do? I assume this will stop my games from saving progress
@EvmanDudebr0 I read on a website that there are ten solutions that could possibly fix it;
1. If you have not tried it yet, you can quit out of the game and relaunch it to check if the issue is present or resolved. If it does not work, restart the console. I had a similar issue once with a couple digital games I had, but after I restarted the console my games ran fine.
2. You can check to see the status of the Xbox Live/Xbox network server. Sometimes issues present on the servers can cause things like this, and it’s just a matter of waiting until the developers repair these problems.
3. The third solution was checking the internet, but I believe you checked it already.
4. If your console has multiple accounts, look to see if the games you tried playing were purchased on your account. If the game was purchased on another account, you may not be able to launch the game by not having a license to launch it. Add the correct account if that is the case.
5. You can power cycle the console by pressing on the Xbox button for about 10 seconds and turning it back on. Then, relaunch the game to see if the issue was fixed.
6. If the games you play and own are physical, it could just be caused by the discs being dirty. You should clean the dirty disc with a cloth (such as a towel) but you want to make sure that the cloth isn’t covered in anything and is dry; the disc is likely to get more corrupted if the cloth is wet or has other substances on it.
7. Your profile could possibly be corrupted. If so, delete the account. Then, enter the email address and password of your Microsoft account and use the instructions on-screen to re-add your account onto the console.
8. The next way is by deleting local saves and re-syncing with the cloud. The games you have could potentially have corrupted game files. First, go manage games and add-ons for the titles in your library. Check the saved data and clear it, and then the data will automatically sync when the console is connected to Xbox Live/Xbox network.
9. If something is wrong with the games, delete them and then reinstall them.
10. The console not being up to date can be a problem as well. Check the settings if the console needs to be updated. If there is an update, apply it. The updating can also be done offline too.
Here is where I got the solutions from. They go more in detail on how to fix the issue and have steps added. It seems to be for the Xbox One, but I am sure it can work for Xbox Series X and S consoles. Please tell me if these solve the issue!
@EvmanDudebr0 Oh. That’s unfortunate… I am really sorry about the save data for the 360 games. I’m not sure if there are any other solutions I’ve not heard of that could fix the issue. I am super sorry I couldn’t be of much help here and indirectly caused your data to get lost.
Since they were all 360 games, I searched the solution to fixing that sign-in issue, and the solution was to delete local Xbox 360 saves and re-syncing to the cloud, (which you could have possibly done) but it’s super disappointing to hear it didn’t work.
@EvmanDudebr0 Ah! I see. I guess I did make the issue seem all the more bigger; sorry again! Hopefully the issue is resolved soon and you can get your data back
