Hey all, I've always paid my GPU sub with my credit card but recently decided to use rewards points for GPU and 'bought' 2 months. I assumed those months would be automatically used by the payment system but my card is still being charged. How do I go about actually using those redeemed months as payment?
@Shigurui I use Paypal for 'regular' monthly payments but often have points/awards of 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate. As long as I make sure I am redeeming those on my Xbox account (I tend to do it on PC) that uses the exact same Email and Log in, it just changes the date of my 'next' payment with Paypal.
For example, I added 1 month through a code just this week and now my 'next' payment is due in December instead of November as I had 'just' paid for October. Without that voucher, my next payment would have been due in early November with recurrent billing.
It really depends on when you are billed - for example, if you are billed on the 10th each month, then one redeemed code for 1 month should push the 'next' payment from the 10th of 'next' month to the 10th the month after. If you add codes around that time, it may still bill you that month, but you'll not need to pay the following month.
You can always log into your MS account on PC, go to your Account and Subscriptions, you should see when your 'next' payment is due - in my case, having just added 1 month via a code, my next payment is not due on 10th November now, but 10th December.
I would check your account first, check the date your next payment is 'due' and if there is NO indication those codes worked, double check you added them to the right 'account'.
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
When I have used reward points to purchase GPU months I have been emailed the codes and had to manually type them in. Then the next payment was pushed back by however many months,
