Me too, did look at the dlc, but wasn't too sure about it as the main game is quite a different feel from the old days on my Amiga.
Yeah had exactly the same reaction - nothing quite clicked into place for me. I guess with a bit of perseverance I'll get the hang of it though...
I had about 45 mins on it last night and did the first three missions. When I got the rocket launcher I kept shooting myself because I wasn't holding the fire button long enough
Never Alone was a gem of a game, loved every minute of it. Was over way too soon though.
My last few game purchases were Evil Within, Walking Dead bundle and Monopoly Plus which I bought over the weekend even though I'm still ploughing my way through AC: Unity
Oh and I picked up Borderlands 2 for a fiver because I've never played it before and Tales from the Bordlerlands piqued my interest in it
How is Tales? It's on my radar (as is the presequel) but I've promised myself to clear out the backlog a bit before buying them?
Loved 1 and 2, even if I did play them wrong, i.e. solo.
Oh last games I bought were San An HD update and XCOM Enemy Unknown.
I just picked up Worms Battlefields on GwG for free and bought the Alien Invasion DLC to go with it.
What's the DLC like - any good? I had a quick go of the main game last night... it's changed a lot since the last time I played it on my Amiga 500 lol
Not tried the DLC yet. Less than a fiver seemed fair considering I got the main game free. Anyone fancy a game one evening? Sounds like we're all in the same boat and will be blowing ourselves up (my current trick is pressing fire instead of jump).
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.

I really enjoyed Tales - it was a lot more fun to play than any of their previous stuff. Voice acting was spot on and there is a lot more humour too. Have to say I'm getting sick to death of hearing Nolan North pop up in everything now though. The guy that does the voice of Flynn in the Skylanders games does one of the character voices too and it was hard to reconcile the two... kept expecting him to say BOOM!
Only thing I would say after having started re-playing TWD Season 1 is that you can't really call them adventure games any more... there's no puzzles to solve or items to find, just dialogue choices and the odd quicktime event to pass.
Doesn't spoil the game, just that when I was playing TWD and got to the bit where you get trapped in a chemist store you actually have to find some items and figure out where to use them in order to get out and continue on. It dawned on me that this sort of thing has taken a back seat to the story now. Just an observation more than anything.

Yeah I'd be up for that - would be a nice change of pace!
Today GAME took payment for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix... And then my boyfriend promptly hinted I should probably return it, because it probably very much might possibly have been purchased by someone else as one of my Christmas presents... Now I'll have to wait three weeks for it >_<

LOL - Been there before. I now get 'banned' from buying any games in December.

Last games I bought were the following: Kinect Sports Rivals Halo: Master Chief Collection Forza Horizon 2
Those all arrived today. Microsoft sent the games individually packaged in a big cardboard box. You could have fit all four (I got two copies of KSR) games into one of the boxes but instead I got four of them. When I saw all the boxes I was confused since I didn't order that much stuff Kinda super wasteful.

Been there as well. that's why my friends and family now just give me money rather then the game itself.

Maybe he should return the gift copy and get you something else so you can play it now instead of having to wait!

Cheers Stylon, especially for the gameplay heads-up. I'm not fussed about the writing, it's always clicked with me from the get go, it was more how do they turn shoot-looting into point-and-click without bodging? Still glad to hear it went down a treat.
As it is, I've not played TWD or TWAU so I really have no experience of anything else Telltale did going into this. Although the reception of those games it what got me excited as it seemed like a very safe pair of hands.
Nolan North has been everywhere since I was watching cartoons. First time I heard him (and found out later who it was) was in Spiderman as a doctor turned vampire in the Blade crossover episodes. Since then he's just been everywhere you turn it seems. We all gotta eat I suppose.
Think the first time I heard him was in Uncharted - and I've played 4 of them now so for me he's sort of typecast as Nathan Drake. Although I did enjoy his take on Deadpool too - that was a lot of fun.

He was amazing in the Last of Us. I bet most people didn't realize it was him voicing David.
Also his performance in Spec Ops - The Line was phenomenal.
