Is there something in the site to make the unread marker go away after I've read the new posts? It is taking me to old posts when there is much newer ones to see.

I've just been using the 'Show recent posts' link at the bottom of the forums page, but if anyone can help with Crippy's question - I'd be interested too.
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.
Could we also replicate the "Show recent posts" and "topics to which I last posted" links in the sub threads, both top and bottom of the page to make navigation easier?
Suggestion (and please don't shoot me if this has been done already).
What about a thread for game nights? A place for people to hook-up and play a particular game?
I think this is a great idea. We can definitely do that. If it becomes popular, then we can expand it to having its own area of the forum. We'll kick it off as a single thread for now though.

Unfortunately not. The "Recent posts" link shows you topics that have had posts made to them in the last 24 hours. I'll see if it can be changed, but I don't *think* that it can.

Will see what I can do.
Awesome. We've been here 5 minutes and already started changing things

OK, maybe I'm being thick but I can't see a way to subscribe to the comments thread for Articles like you can do in the forum?
Would be really useful to know if/when another comment is made and might help get more of conversation flowing. As it stands, unless somebody actually replies to your comment you can't get notified of any new ones?

Good point, well made. There's no way to subscribe to article threads as yet, but I'll pass it on to the higher-ups and see what they can do.

In this case, the site owners...but THEN it's God.

Any news on this? I'd really like to see an 'unread' page for all articles, forum comments, etc.

It's quite a big development unfortunately, linking together both the forum software and the entirely separate comments system. I'll chase it up and see what I can find out.

Thank you. I must also give you kudos for a very quick response to my post! Such a refreshing change.

No problem.
Just as an update, I'm told that this is planned for early 2015. I can't be more specific than that, but the idea has been taken on board and is in the works.
A preview button in the forum reply box to make sure out BBCode works (it only appears when editing a message) would be nice, as well as a unification of the forums across all 3 sister sites. It's strange that Nintendo Life's the odd one out reply buttons aside. The aforementioned preview button, replacing RSS topic feeds with NLife's watch feature, which could now use a button to watch / unwatch a topic, and maybe a few other tweaks would be lovely.

Well, I've been told that the Pure Xbox forums will be transitioned to the same software that the Nintendo Life forums use within the next few days, so watch this space!
