Cyberpunk 2077 (Xbox Series X|S)
CD Projekt RED may have just launched its The Witcher 3 Next-Gen update, but let's not forget that Cyberpunk 2077 got its own major overhaul earlier this year.
It's safe to say that the game is in a much better state now on Xbox Series X and Series S, so this could be well worth a pickup on sale! It's 50% off as well - a discount not to be sniffed at for this huge futuristic open world RPG.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox Series X|S)
Okay, so, this isn't a huge discount at just 15% off for the 'Cross-Gen' edition, but Modern Warfare 2 is the shooter of the year on Xbox with its brilliantly entertaining single-player mode and vast suite of online options - the latter of which can be trialled for free right now.
Given how popular MW2 has been, we wouldn't expect this one to drop much more in the coming months, so if you've been itching to try out the latest Call of Duty, now could be a good time to jump in. Classic content is returning as well - with a lot more post-launch DLC to come!
- Xbox Countdown Sale 2022: £59.49 / $59.49
(Vault Edition also on sale)
Dying Light 2 (Xbox Series X|S)
Techland's long-awaited zombie slaying sequel did actually come out this year, believe it or not - February seems so long ago! Since then, the team has already begun delivering on its five-year post-launch plan, including some recent story DLC.
The developer has also committed to bringing Dying Light 2 mod tools to console in the near future, so it's safe to say there's plenty more to come with this one. With all this in mind, it could be worth picking up right now at a tidy 50% off.
- Xbox Countdown Sale 2022: £29.99 / $29.99
(Deluxe / Ultimate Editions also on sale)
Grand Theft Auto V Next Gen Update (Xbox Series X|S)
Look, we know most of you probably own this game already - you must do considering just how many GTA 5 copies Take-Two has shifted! However, the recently released next-gen version is on sale on Xbox right now, providing a discounted way to check out all of Rockstar's upgrades.
Speaking of which, the team just added ray traced reflections to the game, and they make a huge difference to the look of reflective surfaces in GTA 5. It might be almost 10 years old at this point, but GTA 5 Next-Gen is still worth a pick up on sale!
- Xbox Countdown Sale 2022: £17.49 / $19.99
Diablo 2 Resurrected (Xbox Series X|S)
Xbox might be trying its very best to acquire Activision Blizzard, but that isn't proving the smoothest process, meaning we might not see their titles hit Xbox Game Pass for some time yet!
In that case, Diablo 2 Resurrected could be well worth a pick up in the current countdown sale. Blizzard's 2021 remaster is a whopping 67% off right now, meaning its demonic RPG is the cheapest its ever been on Xbox right now!
- Xbox Countdown Sale 2022: £11.54 / $13.20
(Prime Evil Collection also on sale)
Well, there you have it! There are plenty more great discounts on offer with this sale, but these are 10 we thought we'd pay special attention to. Pace yourself - the Xbox Countdown Sale 2022 is live for more than two weeks!

I've never played a Diablo game... ever.
Worth a buy? Feels like a steal at that price.
@Kezelpaso Hey Ben, any idea of RESIDENT EVIL 2 Deluxe Edition have a "save 37,50 with game pass" tag? The game is not part of game pass, is it?
@raftos Hey! No, it's not a part of Game Pass but for some reason it's showing as being extra discounted for Game Pass members. The store appears to take another £1 or so off when signed in as a GP member!
@FraserG It would be but still has many issues look at the reviews. The Diablo games are excellent especially 3.
I had to get it refunded a couple of weeks ago as the servers wouldn't work. I had great difficulty signing up for an account took several attempts. When the game finally did load there was no sound. However some seem to have no problems.
@Kezelpaso Bizarre. Thank you Ben!
@Cyberpsycho Hmm, maybe I'll look into 3 instead.
@FraserG It would be a safer bet but you could also get the Prime Evil collection with both games as in the sale. I think it's £16.49.
@FraserG I found Diablo 3 to be alot more new player friendly. I would start with 3 and if you enjoy it then go to 2.
@Tasuki @Cyberpsycho Thanks both!
Nothing that really catches my eye after all. But it might be because I've already bought pretty much everything I wanted in the last few sales.
I'll probably grab something just for the sake of it though. Soul Hackers 2 it's tempting.
