Welcome to the weekend! The big release of this past week was Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, so a few of us might be playing that game this weekend, but there are also plenty of recent Xbox Game Pass titles, three more Free Play Days games, and a whole bunch of great deals to take advantage of on Xbox over the next couple of days.

What to play, what to play. I'm in that position right now where I'm desperately awaiting LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga but it's not here just yet, so I'm playing little bits of things in the meantime. Shredders is still getting my attention even though I've completed it, for example, and PGA Tour 2K21 is a game I keep going back to for a casual round of golf here and there. It's a great way to just kill 30 minutes or so.
To be honest, I'm probably going to spend most of my time with the Xbox Series X version of Grand Theft Auto V though. I haven't yet started the story again (I'm still making my way through the side missions all these years later), but GTA Online has been getting my attention a bit, and even though it annoys me in some ways, I'm having fun with it.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

I was considering finally picking up Far Cry 6 this weekend with its free trial/discount period, but then I remembered about Halo Infinite's campaign. I still haven't been back to clear the map and to be honest, I might get my Far Cry fix from there.
I'm also still chipping away at Gran Turismo 7 over there on PS5, although I have now finished that Cafe Menu list! There's still plenty to do though, and I'm using that to avoid the temptation to buy anything new this weekend... my backlog is pleased.
Have a fine weekend you lot!

This weekend is hectic for me since it was payday yesterday, first of all I took the plunge and finally bought elden ring last weekend and I'm now level 44 and just beat godrick (though I rely heavily in online play) so will continue with that at some point today.
In the post today I just received Tiny Tina wonderlands, Kirby and the forgotten land, and Rune factory 5, I'm also still ploughing through horizon forbidden West and fire emblem three houses, and just bought scarlet nexus and immortals fenyx rising on the PlayStation store sale and rented ghost of tsushima directors cut.
So yeah in think I'm sorted for the next two months as there's no new games coming out in April or May for me.
My Series S and PS5 are taking a break this weekend because Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Switch is all that matter right now. Lol.
Recently finished: Ghost of Tsushima NG+
Ghostwire Tokyo on Ps5 and Tiny Tina on my Xbsx. Ghostwire Tokyo is a very cool game. I couldn't wait a year until it came to gamepass so I decided to already buy it and glad I did. Tiny Tina is borderlands with a nice twist. Normally not the biggest shooter fan but I like the art style and humor of the borderlands games, so that's why I got it day 1. Monday the Kaito files dlc for Lost Judgment will come out. So many good stuff in such a short period. Guess I'll hold off with Lego star wars, the coming months seem to be a bit more quiet with games that interest me, so I can finish the games I bought and started first so I can make more room for other games later on
Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5. The journey continues....
Likely not a lot of gaming time so some more AI Sonium on xcloud. I think I'm almost done? Been fantastic so far either way.
This weekend may finally see me finish Horizon Forbidden West. I hit max level two days ago, have completed all available side-quests, and am currently in the last Cauldron. Just three main missions to go, plus the Hunting Trials and I've pretty much 100% completed the game. Playing the game on Very Hard has definitely been a challenge, and has prolonged my run.
Hoping to start Elden Ring straight after that, and then I have Tiny Tina and Dying Light 2 to start, both of which I pre-ordered and have yet to play. Going to be very busy for the next few months, I think...
Just finished Far: Changing Tides which was excellent.
Now starting the Guardians of Galaxy game and so far, so good.
Rayman Origins (Vita) - I forgot how awesome this looks on the oled screen!
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - I'm close to my final gold medal needed for the achievement.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Just starting this on rails shooter and having fun.
Ghostwire and Horizon on Ps5. Not turned on the series X for a while but plan to get back to the game pass backlog soon
I started Dishonored 2 the other day, and it has been incredibly fun and cool so far. I also started Kirby and the Forgotten Land last night and it was just delightful. Might play some Sea of Thieves with the guys tonight if they can stay up late enough.
Elden Ring and Tunic on my Series X and Ghostwire: Tokyo on my PS5.
Throw in a couple of racing games in between things. (Yes, I jump around a lot lol)
Think I might beat Radagon this weekend. And then maybe move on to my first play through of The original Max Payne game on my series S. Been watching a guy who tests Xbox games out play it and it looks pretty clean
Backlog weekend. Going through bayonetta 2 and SotN.
Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure
I was playing GTA V for a bit and find myself getting sidetracked from it for the 3rd console generation in a row, now that Ghostwire Tokyo is out.
On Xbox One X I’m actually replaying Half-life 2 on the Orange Box. I haven’t played it since it came out in the original Xbox. It’s still an amazing game. I forgot how much it just grabs you and pulls you through it’s world. On PS5 I’m still working almost daily on Gran Turismo 7. Great way to catch up on podcasts.
I tried F1 2021. Found it really hard and not too much fun
Still Elden Ring
Hard or very hard is the way to go with Horizon, I think, @CrazyJF. The challenge of the game just means that you cannot go in and be a God all the time. I only have the final mission left now, having thus far completed pretty much everything in the game. And it's only taken 154 hours so far...
I’m probably going to be playing elden ring for a long while. I have dying light 2 sitting around, but I still haven’t touched it. I am spending time reading Andrew Tchaikovskys Shadows of the Apt series, so haven’t been playing anything for a while.
Tiny Tina’s and loving it.
Can I just say that I am LOVING the Series X? This is an Xbox weekend, baby!
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Psychonauts 2
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
Played a tonne of Guardians of the Galaxy. Up to chapter 11, love it. Also tried out a bit of F1 21. Not much of an upgrade from the previous version. But still a solid racer.
Weekend is almost over but I've been playing little bits of two recent Game Pass additions, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk and The Nonary Games and I'm enjoying both so far. On Switch I've been playing Kirby's new 3D venture and boy that's a whole load of fun!
In fairness, @CrazyJF, I do do absolutely everything, and doing it on the hardest difficulty does mean dying a fair few times, and the enemies being a lot more spongy! Also, they have taken away the whistle, meaning you can no longer call individual enemies over to you and quietly pick them off, so taking down enemies invariably ends up in a big fight. Plus they have improved the AI so the enemies will often find you very quickly.
I have now finished the game completely, and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the DLC, and the next game, the set up for which is very interesting.
And so now my attention turns to Elden Ring...
