Welcome to the weekend! In terms of new content you can check out over the next couple of days, we've been treated to a few Xbox Game Pass additions including Far Cry 5, there have been plenty of interesting releases such as F1 22 and Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, and there's another huge selection of sales live right now!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:
Fraser Gilbert, News Editor
Well, the obvious choice for me this weekend is Far Cry 5 on Xbox Game Pass, especially considering I've never actually played a Far Cry game until now! I'm not quite sure how I've managed to avoid the series all these years, but now that it's on Game Pass, I might as well dip into Far Cry 5 and see if it floats my boat.
Elsewhere, it's just going to be a lot more of Fall Guys for me. I'm loving the cross-play element - playing locally on Xbox and Switch at the same time is a blast - and it's just a great game to pick up and play when you've got a spare 15 or 20 minutes.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Im playing Cuphead and will get the DLC soon. Also Omori, Citizen Sleeper and Nobody Saves The World on game pass
Very into Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes right now. Really loving this game. It's almost perfect for what it's trying to do. Possibly my new favorite musou.
Tried out The Anacrusis with the guys last night.. Woof. Gameplay is very tedious, and while the style is kinda neat, the graphics are flat with low detail like the game was designed in the early 360/PS3 era. I do not recommend it.
We played some more Fall Guys too which was still fun even though I'm not really getting any better at it.
Also chipping away at Blood: Fresh Supply this weekend as well. This game is very difficult, so I'm just straight up save-scumming my way through it at this point. It's probably going to take me a long time to actually finish this one.
Will be finishing the Lego Skywalker Saga, also Forza Horizon 5 and some Cuphead Mixed in
F1 22. Few bugs noticed though such as split times don't show in time bracket. EA need to sort this or maybe they won't as I am playing single player and we know their stance on that.
Still playing Ghostwire Tokoyo. Some of you guys will love this when its on xbox, many more might not!
... and rather embarrassingly, Ive set up my old ps3 to play some guitar hero with my wife, as we both miss its silliness! Im so rubbish after all these years im playing on easy, but its fun. š
The 360 and x1 backlog for me and the wife. Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy by telltale, Portal, Oblivion, Tomb Raider Underworld too.
I'm still playing Lost in Random, nearing the ending now.
Playing Fall Guys on the occasional fly.
After Lost in Random will be starting Mirror's Edge and Far Cry 5. I've never played a FC game either.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Finally coming back to earn my last three medals that remain.
Age of Empires: Castle Siege (Android) - Nearly halfway through it now.
Make it Rain: The Love of Money (Windows Phone) - Just starting this.
Started World War Z Aftermath which is really good so far, and I'll probably jump into some Mass Effect too
This weekend Iāll be playing two games. First up:
Neon White (Nintendo Switch) - This is one of the best games Iāve ever played. It may very well exceed Elden Ring for my GOTY.
I decided to buy this game on a whim because I wanted to try something different from what I usually play. In about an hour I could tell this game was special. The entire game has a unique color to it, and the characters you meet along the way are just as colorful. Each person has their own personality (thereās a cat named Mikey who loves mob related movies and television!). As you play the game you can find gifts that you are able to bring back to the hub world and give to characters. By doing so, youāll unlock new dialogue options, memories, and side quests that will flesh out their backstory. Some people might consider the people and dialogue cringe, but I think it hits all the right notes due to its exceptional voice acting, humor, self awareness, and references to pop culture.
All of this would be meaningless if the game wasnāt fun to play; thankfully, itās an absolute blast. The controls are tight and responsive, which is the most important thing considering the game is essentially a speed-runnerās dream. There are about 90 levels to traverse through and each one is different and incredibly well designed. Youāll never encounter the same level twice. The more you progress the more challenging it becomes, but your skills are advancing as well, so each level can still be completed in less than a minute. As a result, there is a perfect balance between the two that motivates you to replay prior levels to get a better score than your original run.
Overall, I think this game is a masterpiece. I understand no game is āperfectā, but Neon White is perfect for me. One main reason is because I donāt get to play games as much as I used to due to adulthood and raising a family, and when I do get to play I get burnt out if I play any longer than ten hours. However, I find it impossible for me to lose steam with this game because of how rapid levels can be completed. It almost feels like a whole new game each time. I really hope more people will play this gem because it deserves recognition.
Lastly, Iāll be playing Diablo III (Nintendo Switch). I originally started the game on my Xbox Series X and made it to Act III, but then I noticed it was on sale for the Switch and instantly jumped on it because of the portability. Thankfully, the game runs smoothly and Iāve had no issues at all. Iām currently halfway through Act I and am enjoying every minute of it. I canāt wait to see what Blizzard does with Diablo IV.
@Retrokingdan still lots of people playing WWZ? Thinking about buying Afternath myself. Did they fix the crashing issuing in Rome (I think thatās where it was)?
I'm playing Mario & Rabbids..
Finished up the first game in Shadow trilogy this past week and immediately moved on to Dragonfall afterwards. Good stuff, itās scratching the srpg itch without all the relationship stuff of FE to balance. Good times.
Also started up Tiny Tinaās Wonderlands which has been a blast so far.
And after reading guys review up there of neon white, thatās now on my radar.
Homefront the revolution ...don't understand the bad reviews tbh
Still playing dq 11 on my Xbox, what a brilliant game it is. Very relaxing game in everything. Music is amazing, story is great, gameplay is pretty easy to pick up as well. Enjoying my time with it. I also started dead space for the monthly forum game, but that doesn't really seem to be my type of game. I'll keep on playing it a bit to see if I continue it or not.
On the ps5 I just started infamous second son.
Just finished lost ruins demo, I think I'm gonna buy it, the game feels like metroidvania mixed with resident evil which feels fresh.
Iām playing through AC Valhalla love it not sure why itās getting so much hate.
Mobile: Diablo Immortal. Still enjoying this alot. Haven't paid a dime either and still having fun.
Xbox Series X: Shredder's Revenge still working through my second play through trying to level up Raph now. Still my GOTY.
Tabletop: Dungeons & Dragons Continuing with our ongoing campaign the players are still trekking to an ancient ruin where hopefully the object they are looking for is there.
AI: The somnium files with Tiny Tina's Wonderlands sprinkled in.
@Dusk_Actual not many people at all unfortunately, I've sat for 20 minutes trying to get a team before giving up and setting a game. To be fair haven't got to Rome yet working through the missions in order but haven't come across any bugs just yet

My poor neighbours š
Bought and played Life is Strange redux - does not hold up well, esp when this atrocious update has parts where it is literally unplayable for large sections elg. all audio disappears.
Playing Dishonored for the first time.FPS boost is nice addition. Just finished the main history and playing through the dlc now. Loving the game specially the freedom of choice and the at art style. Looking forward to play the second game she I finish all the dlc.
I'm still on my epic Halo playthrough. I finished Halo 4! I liked it a lot. Onto Halo 5, which I think I'm halfway through at this point. I'm enjoying it.
Played a bit more Shredder's Revenge, and playing Bugsnax with my 6 year old son.....he's really enjoying playing it with me but I'm quite nervous about getting to the end of that game with him.
@Clankylad if you like Stardew valley I would recommend graveyard keeper I'm playing a lot of that right now and having a blast
So this weekend I'm playing graveyard keeper like I mentioned above but I'm also going to dive into black desert again and play that
Putting some serious hours into Breath of the Wild at the moment. I've played in spurts before and it kinda bored me. Think I've hit that point where I get what I'm doing now and love it.
On Series S Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting my time. What a great game and great little machine.
And trying to continue on with Persona 4 Golden on PS Vita. Don't get the hype so far, sems like a bunch of cut scenes to me but I'm only early in.
@matmom42 have you played the second one? Its got some of the best level design ever
Iāve been on vacation for a week. While I was gone I picked up Spec Ops the Line on the sale this week. I played it when it first came out but have been wanting to run through it again. I also have the disc of Forza Horizon 2 coming in the mail on Wednesday. So Iāll be having some older game fun this week once Iām back home. Have a great weekend everyone.
Iāll jump back into Diablo Immortal and try to finish the main storyline. Playing for free and itās been fun.
Rogue Lords, King's Bounty 2 and Disciples Liberation. I'm in turn based heaven rn
@Bruvas Good idea! Itās perfect!
Playing Far Cry 5 on Series X and either Hollow Knight or Monster Hunter Rise on Switch
