Welcome to the weekend! We're sure many of you will be checking out Dying Light 2 over the next couple of days, but if you're not interested in Techland's latest creation, you've still got a batch of new Xbox Game Pass titles, more Free Play Days titles and another massive set of deals to take advantage of — plenty to keep you busy as ever!
Here's what we're checking out this weekend:

No Dying Light 2 for me — I haven't even got around to playing the first one yet — so my weekend is probably going to be spent getting some Xbox Game Pass Quests done, continuing my playoff run with the Vancouver Canucks in NHL 20, and checking out the new addition of Telling Lies on Xbox Game Pass, which looks intriguing.
I've also been hovering over the 'Buy' button for LEGO City Undercover as part of the Xbox Lunar New Year Sale, and it might be time to finally cash in some Microsoft Rewards points and go for it. I've played a bit of the first few levels in the past, and at the time I was surprised by just how hilarious it is. Definitely seems like a worthy buy.

This weekend I've got quite an impressive to-do list on Xbox - with a lot of things to finish off. I'm finally done with Halo Infinite's campaign (I absolutely loved it by the way) so now I'm working my way through the multiplayer's Battle Pass. Now that the BTB mode has been updated, I should be able to use that to grind my way to level 100. At the moment I'm on level 87 of unlocks, so we'll see how we go.
Another game I want to polish off is OlliOlli World. I had a blast playing through the main story for the review we published earlier this week, and I now want to go back and complete all of the side quest objectives. Last but not least, I'll be returning to Forza Horizon 5 - it's been too long since I last booted this up (I guess I got sidetracked with Halo), so I'm looking forward to jumping back in.
Game on, everyone!

Hello. This weekend I'm gonna be very tight on free time with relatives visiting and reviews to get sorted, however, I will be making an Xbox-shaped hole in the chaos to sit down and spend a few hours with two games, Hunt: Showdown and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.
Hunt Showdown is one of my all-time favourite online multiplayer experiences but I've only ever had it on PC, until I grabbed it in the sales on Xbox last week. I sprung for the most deluxe edition available with all the cosmetic extras and blood bonds, and am looking forward to starting from scratch all over again from the comfort of my couch.
As for Metal Gear Rising, well, I nabbed that in the backwards compatibility sale and am looking forward to blazing through it all over again, just for old times' sake, as it's still one of the maddest, most non-stop ridiculous action games I've ever played. Have a good weekend, whatever you're up to or playing!

After putting it off since I picked up my Xbox Series X last November, I suppose it's time I got stuck into The Medium, as it's leaving Game Pass this month. I'm a big fan of what Bloober Team has put out in recent years, especially the massively underrated Layers of Fear 2, and I'm looking forward to this one. Silent Hill it is not, but even if The Medium delivers a small slice of that series' atmosphere, I'll be happy.
Other than that, I'll probably be putting Big Team Battle through its paces on Halo Infinite, after the mode was finally fixed this week.
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

Don’t really have much on my plate. Probably play some Halo Infinite with my step son now we’ve completed the event and weekly.
SWITCH
Borderlands 2 - haven't played this in a while, picking it up again this weekend!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - online matches with friends!
PC
God of War - I just can't put this one down, amazing game!
Team Fortress 2 - playing with friends tonight!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Finishing up Pokémon Legends Arceus. Just the main story. I might stick with it a little longer to make sure I catch all the new forms and whatnot.
Also getting deeper into Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Having a blast with Dreamscaper even if the "real world" stuff is a little lacklustre. The combat encounters are a little less hectic than other roguelikes and it's a nice change of pace. Can comfortably get to the 4th world everytime so should be finished by the weekend.
Gonna be cracking on with ME:LE addition too.
Dying Light 2 starting now. Lost Judgement doing school missions. Pokemon Arceus on switch and want to check out Telling Lies on game pass
Going to try bad North this weekend. It was on my wishlist for a long time
Will be playing Diablo 3 on PS4, Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom on PS3 and No More Heroes on Wii U. Enjoying these games a lot, especially Diablo. It's my first time playing this series and I'm absolutely loving it. It's so much fun!
Guardians of the Galaxy on my PS5. Started it up yesterday and I'm having a blast with it so far. They nailed it, which is great to see after the borderline disaster that was Marvel's Avengers.
Trying to beat Ys IX on switch, so I can focus on OlliOlli World on the 8th! Also interested in Sifu on PC but waiting for reviews on that.
Mostly Dying Light 2, Dysmantle, and finishing off AC Valhalla (Siege of Paris DLC).
@Kooky_Daisuke how does Grim Dawn look? I’ve heard there’s a 4K patch coming for XSX, so am holding out till then.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Daily challenges like always.
Contre Jour (Windows Phone) - Like a artistic take on Cut The Rope.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Still enjoying in small bursts.
A couple 360 games on the Series X through backwards compatibility, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and MK 9.
Got tired of waiting for Devil May Cry V to come back to GP so I picked that up….might start Grim Dawn….not sure. I don’t want to get into anything that’s gonna burn me out in any way…Elden Ring is nearly here. Gonna be on that for a while when it drops.
Outriders only, which is an unexpected great game. Trying to reach the last expedition and level 50 by the way.
@BBB Thanks. I have actually bought the game as it’s in this weeks sale on Xbox. I just don’t know whether to start it now or wait (hopefully) for a higher resolution patch 🤔
I'm playing Pokemon Legens Arceus..
Lego Star Wars 3 x360
Metroid Dread switch
Borderlands 3 ps4
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (Switch) and Fallout 4 (XSX).
NSMBU is the best game in the NSMB series. I played it on the Wii U and loved it. Finally replaying it wit the Deluxe port for the Switch. It's just weirding me out a little bit because I'm used to Mario Maker physics. Already 100%'d Fallout, but I'm playing again with a new set of 100 mods for a new experience. Wasn't planning on popping this one in and doing that, but oh well lol.
Getting in some practice for elden ring with Dark Souls 3 and started danganronpa.
@Nightcrawler71
Thank you very much for letting me know about the sale. I have wanted to play this one for years and this is the first time I have the hardware to play it. I was waiting for a sale to pick it up.
I’m mostly reading this weekend. I picked up Grim Dawn on sale and am looking for the time to play that in this very busy two gaming months. I am at the last boss on no more heroes, started playing hades a little while ago, and slowly playing through the master chief collection. I don’t know when I’ll get back to everything, but am enjoying the peace and quiet.
@Dydreamr you’re welcome 😀 as soon as I saw it was reduced from about £45 to £32 I pulled the trigger! I haven’t started it yet, but it’s ready to go.
On XBOneX I’m continuing to pick at Forza 7. I’m in a racing game mood as I wait for Gran Turismo 7. I’m also replaying Halo: CE for the thousandth time. It’s such comfort food. On PS5 I’m working my way through Days Gone. Very underrated game. I really enjoy it. Have a great weekend!
@F1at8mot0
I’m playing halo:ce for the first time. The game is really incredible and so much fun. I also thought reach was amazing. 🙂
