Welcome to this special Christmas weekend! Hopefully you're getting a chance to relax a little bit over the next few days — plenty of us will undoubtedly be playing some Xbox games to mark the occasion. If you haven't received anything new as a gift, you've still got an incredible list of recent Game Pass additions to check out!
Here's what we're diving into this weekend:

It's kind of difficult to predict what I'm going to be playing this weekend, but assuming I get some free time, it'll probably be some NHL 22 (I'm very much in a hockey mood right now), more Halo Infinite, Metacritic's Xbox Game of the Year Hades, and The Forgotten City on Game Pass — which I'm really enjoying based on the bit I've played so far.
There's a chance I might be playing some of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection as well, which I've never actually tried before, so that'll be interesting. I'm a big fan of the newer LEGO games like The Force Awakens, but some of the older versions feel quite dated in their design in my opinion, and I know Harry Potter was released quite early on in the franchise. We'll see how it goes...
Have a good weekend, everyone! Merry Christmas!

Well, as a dad of two young boys I'm almost certain I'm not going to be getting a whole lot of free Xbox time to myself over the next few days but the console will certainly still be getting used for lots of Just Dance 2022, a house favourite here, alongside Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft and all that good stuff my kids love playing these days.
If I do happen to get a chance though, I'll be hopping on for some PGA 2K21 action. I picked this one up during the week and have been absolutely loving it so far, it's pretty no frills on the presentation front, for sure, but the gameplay is top notch and there's tons of tutorials and help to guide you along as you get a handle on successfully pulling off tricky shots. I'll also definitely dive into some Halo Infinite multiplayer, if only to grab some of those fancy cat ears and to test out my brand new Elite controller which I very, very cheekily ordered myself a few days ago.
Have fun whatever you guys are up to over this Xmas weekend, don't eat too much (do eat too much), put your feet up and enjoy it all. Merry Christmas!
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

Just bought the Great Ace Attorney chronicles, Grow, NEO the world ends with you and Afterparty off the PlayStation store so will be busy with those.
Will jump onto some alien fireteam in between with my new plus red xbox controller
Will be playing The Gunk on Xbox One, Undertale on Switch, Hotline Miami 2 and Steins;Gate 0 on Vita. Coincidentally, Steins;Gate 0 takes place during Christmas, which I hadn't planned for at all, so I guess that's my Christmas game, haha.
Happy holidays everyone!
Happy holidays to you all!
I'll be playing Halo infinite. I'm making slowly but steady process I think it's the most fun I had with any games this year.
I'm also making a little platformer on Unity Nothing crazy but it takes lots of time
Halo Infinite, probably. Maybe a bit of ArchVale as well, I'm enjoying the little indie addition to Game Pass.
Halo Infinite and Pokemon Shining Pearl..
Playing Halo Infinite
Grinding money on Elite Dangerous, and picked up Mass Effect legendary edition so I'll be starting that too
Playing the perfect christmas game. Spider-man miles morales. (It’s heavily themed around Christmas and set during Xmas)
Besides that probably guardians of the galaxy, xenoblade chronicles definitive edition and forza horizon 5.
Still halo MCC.
Work has been very busy this last week, so pretty much playing the same games as last weekend for me: Half-Life: Alyx and Darkwatch. I might start up Return to Castle Wolfenstein if I finish one of the other two.
Just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution so I naturally moved on to Mankind Divided. Not a very Christmassy title 🤣 Merry Christmas everyone!
I finished the Halo Infinite campaign, so I'll be returning to the multiplayer for a bit. I also started the Gunk, and want to play more of The Artful Escape. Two really awesome games.
Well, I got a Series S for Christmas, which is my first Xbox since the 360. I’ve put nearly four hours into Forza Horizon 5 already and I have Halo Infinite downloading now. Great little system, this.
The plan so far is The Gunk (been playing it in bite sizes as I wait for….) FFXIV (if I get through the queues) and maybe I’ll play some Halo Infinite campaign if I happen to finish The Gunk.
These plans might change based what I find hidden under gift wrap.
No games for me this weekend. I’m just reading Dune on my Kindle while I’m traveling for the Holiday. Merry Christmas!
Mostly Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 but since I just got the Series X I'm also digging through my collection of older games to see what they're like with the enhancements from the new hardware. It's great that so many older games can be played on the XSX but some are like brand new experiences such as Sonic Generations, one of my favorite games from that era is even better in 60 fps.
Not playing much this for myself weekend with the family over. I’m playing one game of Halo Infinite a day for the Winter Contingency event.
Outside of that group games of Jackbox and also some of our lot are playing Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. The latter isn’t my thing but they seem to enjoy it.
Playing Halo Infinite and i have to say after playing it more and more i am really enjoying it.
@species8472 is that the campaign, multiplayer or both? Either way, glad to hear to it.
Im playing far Cry 6 post game trying to finish as many side activities as possible
I have finished Shadows awakening yesterday and still not sure what will I play next. Maybe restart the Witcher 3 (my Goat) or finally give a chance to dishnored... Oblivion would be good too
Still playing 4 Kings, but also playing Race with Ryan and Super Toy Cars Offroad. Race with Ryan turned out to be a great racing experience.
I’m traveling so no time with my Xbox. I am catching up within my switch, and playing ember:console edition and anything else that might catch my eye in the switch sale.
@ParsnipHero It's the campaign, i don't play multiplayer.
Playing on a Xbox One X and despite a few technical problems with the graphics - strange glitches and pop up - i am loving it.
My main criticism with the game is with the environment and that it really doesn't change.
@species8472 yes that’s true. Still beautiful but I’m hoping we get more biomes in future campaign releases.
Gone and bought a load of X360 games gonna try and clear up some of the uncompleted games on my gamerscore before server closure later this month
Finished everything I can do in Halo Infinite, so it’s probably back to Guardians of the Galaxy or Death Stranding.
Im playing Halo Infinite although its customization seems unfair and kind forces you to pay for better colors and gear. I am also playing a lot of COD MW2 backcompack because WZ doesn't work kn Series consoles at all. I cannot see my player or the gun etc. It crashes non-stop. Crazy how older games are much better and more fun then these new ones.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Daily challenges and puzzle packs as usual.
Bad Piggies (Windows Phone) - Finally at the end of the game.
Tiki Towers (Windows Phone) - Still playing here and there.
I played Forza Horizon 5 and some Streets of Rage 4. It's now back to Halo Infinite for me..
