Welcome to the weekend! Well, we're pretty sure we know what the majority of us will be playing this weekend, what with Halo Infinite launching just a few days ago on December 8th. However, there are still plenty of other options, such as various new Game Pass titles, another Free Play Days batch and the Xbox Game Awards 2021 sale!
Here's what we're diving into this weekend:

I'm in that situation again where I'm really not getting much time to play anything right now (bring on the Christmas break), but if I do find a few spare hours, I'm almost certainly going to be spending them with Halo Infinite. PJ did a tremendous job on our review here at Pure Xbox, and now I'm eager to finally check it out for myself.
Anything else? Well, maybe I'll jump back into Forza Horizon 5 for a bit — even if it's just to complete a few races and nothing more — and Serious Sam 4 is on the download list for sure, but it might have to wait a few weeks at least.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Well, honestly, I'm a bit Halo'd out right now after working on all our guides and so on for the past week, so I reckon this weekend any free time I get will most likely be spe...ah, who am I kidding, I've just started my second playthrough of Halo Infinite's campaign and between that and the multiplayer, I really don't see me having time for much else this weekend. I just can't stop playing it.
I have, however, also picked up Chorus recently and it's absolutely brilliant so far, so I may well take a little break from all things Master Chief to get stuck into polishing some more of that off. If you're a fan of space dogfights, and let's face it who isn't, then I highly recommend having a look at it.

This weekend I'm settling in with the Halo Infinite campaign. I've spent about five hours on it so far, and I'm really warming up to the whole "open-world" concept. It does get a bit lonely out there at times, but the marines keep me company. I do wish we had co-op for this mode at launch, but I can live without it.
Apart from Halo, I'll be jumping into the Matrix...not like The Matrix, but the UE5 experience - in Neo's words, it's "unreal". No, really - it's rather impressive at times - particularly during those on-the-rail sequences. I'm also in the mood for a bit of Sonic, you can probably guess why - so I might revisit some of his 3D games.
That's all for me this weekend, game on!
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

it's obvious man! AC Unity and Wolfenstein 2
On xbox I will be continuing with back 4 Blood, forza 5 and I might start don't tell me why.
I played halo on release but it just wasn't for me.
On playstation I will be continuing with Blue reflection second light and horizon zero dawns DLC
And on switch I will be playing some more pokemon brilliant diamond and the sinking city
Archvale and Isaac Repentance. Maybe i’ll also try Halo…
Halo, Forza and going to see if the new map can rekindle my love for Warzone.
SWITCH
Skyrim - Continuing my magic build playthrough! I swear this game is absolutely timeless.
Borderlands Legendary Collection - Working my way through these classics once again!
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance - Attempting to unlock the tainted characters is painful sometimes lol
PC
Death Stranding - Really enjoying my time with this one! Though I admit it has a.. unique gameplay loop.
GTA Online/Garry's Mod - As usual, multiplayer mayhem with friends later tonight!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Mad Max all the way!
Now guys, let me tell you one thing: after maybe 2 hours of gameplay, I happened to win this race and got an achievement for that. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it for more details...it turns out only 15% of the players got it! Help me spread the word: that game is a seriously underrated piece. Give it a chance if it's in your backlog. And now with the fps boost, it's just...chef kiss!
Finished Guardians of the Galaxy last night, and it was truly great. I wish Deus Ex didn't have to die for it, but it was really fun, and I highly recommend it.
Started up Half-Life Alyx late last night and played for about an hour. Can't wait to dive back in. So far, it's pretty dang amazing.
Halo Infinite - Campaign (Series S)
Star Ocean Till the ends of time (PS2)
Dragon Age 2 and Halo. I'm not cool enough to join everybody in Halo Infinite yet.
The plan has been to wait and play Infinite until sometime next year. I was going to just play Halo 5 after Halo Wars 2, but figured I might as well just continue through the Master Chief Collection from where I left off a while back. Since that was early in Halo 1 after playing Reach, it'll be a while. I'm ok with that.
Still highly enjoying Dragon Age 2 as well. Getting close to being done with Act 2 of 3, and it also makes me excited to play some of the other really old games that got FPS Boost.
Beat the Halo Infinite campaign on Heroic after grinding it out SUPER late each night since launch alongside a full time job & home life. Took me about 12.5 hours since I was also exploring a bit. The game was a BLAST! Most fun I've had in a shooter since DOOM Eternal but for very different reasons. Looking forward to finishing the Mjolnir, Spartan Core & Marine camp extras. Then time to find the skulls & beat it on legendary throughout 2022
World of warships , Hali infinite and serious Sam 4 😉😉
Halo Wars 2 as i March towards completing the pre infinite saga and then I'll basically be playing infinite for the rest of the year!!!
Got myself a month of Game Pass Ultimate and I've been enjoying so many games through Cloud Gaming. So this weekend I'll be playing Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Marvel's Avengers, GTA: San Andreas and Serious Sam 4 on Xbox One. I'll probably also continue my playthroughs of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Dante's Inferno.
Halo Infinite and Death’s Door for me.
I’m at lvl72 I’m the Battle Pass. I’m in a pretty nice Rhythm now with the multiplayer. I play my 6 games then chip away at the campaign for a bit. I completed the weeklies on Wednesday.
Death’s Door is so interesting. I’ve just started so I don’t have much to say.
Halo and Matrix, obviously.
But I'll have to finish my movie-run first, about Matrix.
I've rewatched the first one and the Animatrix. Planning to see Reloaded tonight.
I love this all saga. Just can't wait to finally try the demo !
Halo campaign. It hasn’t grabbed me like the multiplayer yet but it’s still early days, just got to the open world part.
My play through of pillars of eternity continues at a rapid pace. Glad I finally clicked with this game, my current play through is approaching 25 hours so I’m truly on board to seeing this one through finally.
And I’m continuing to chip away at eastward. Very slow paced game that feels well suited to pick up and play for an hour or two here or there. Great music and visuals and I really am growing attached to John and Sam. No rush to finish this one.
Halo and Gears 5 for me.
Series S: Halo Infinite
Switch: Nothing
PS5: Nothing
Halo got my full attention this weekend. I recently platted Death Stranding DC though. And I got Ghost of Tsushima waiting on me.
Halo Infinite (campaign) even on the base Xbox One I'm having a great time with it, can't wait to see how much better it is on Series X when I eventually get one. After Halo 5 I was a bit concerned but this is 343's best work, by far, on the series and can see this game just getting better with future DLC.
There's this little indie, most people probably haven't heard of it. It's called Halo Infinite. Playing that today
Banjo-Kazooie (N64) - Playing the Christmas world as always in December .
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Still daily challenges and various puzzle packs.
Burn the Rope (Windows Phone) - Finally at the end now.
I'm still on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and started Dead Island: Definitive Edition yesterday. So far having a blast with both (again, remind me why I bought XSX 🤣). Have a good one guys and gals!
I’ve only put in about an hour so far on Halo Infinite, so I’m still on the spaceship or whatever it is. Got to admit that it’s been pretty boring so far, but I’ve heard once I get to the open-world stuff it gets a lot better 🤞
Is there anything else? It's Halo Infinite campaign. Having an absolute blast playing this. It's really becoming my favorite Halo ever.
Halo Infinite campaign (which I finally started yesterday, and managed about 5 hours), and lots of it this weekend. Some of those early bosses are tough on Heroic, goodness knows what they'll be like on Legendary. I think there maybe tears...
Still plugging away at Halo Infinite and Guardians Of The Galaxy. Halo has its hooks in me pretty deep; i uninstalled all other multiplayer fps games except for Splatoon 2.
Halo Infinite campaign on Xbox One X. It runs great and looks great. Even the load times are totally fine. I’m having fun with it but I’m not totally sucked in yet. But I think it will take some more time. Have a great weekend!
Halo infinite. Nuff said.
I'm playing Halo Infinite campaign, I'm about 4 hours in and it's awesome.. Also playing Pokemon Shining Pearl..
Finished Dante's inferno as part of the monthly club, had a try at halo (first time in the franchise) but has been at least 15 since I cared about fps games and I just got to the open world and I know I prefer the linear areas and story focused so I am pretty sure it is it for me.
Have been playing outer worlds the most, I was expecting to be close to been done with it on the 20h mark but I feel now i am maybe half way through as I am trying to fill every sidequest.
Playing through Halo campaign and getting some Season 2 events done in FH5.
Halo is delivering in single player for me and feels like a greatest hits package of the first 3 games. It feels like a return to form after Halo 5 left me a bit cold.
Halo, Halo, and I also might switch it up with some Halo.
HALO!!!!!!!!!! That is all.
I’m trying to get in a few games before they leave GP. I’ve finished up Unto the End( the end battle- Ridiculous!) and am currently playing Wilmot’s Warehouse and Yooka Laylee Impossible Lair.
I have to admit YL is much more fun than I thought. I tried the first one but didn’t care for the 3d platforming so I wasn’t in any hurry to try the sequel which is a real shame because the 2d platforming is fantastic. I’m trying but I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it before it leaves so I will probably end up buying it. It reminds me of playing Donkey Kong back on Super Nintendo.
Ive been giving Wilmot’s some attention too it’s okay but is basically the same thing over and over- organize warehouse and fetch requested things. Organizing is hard because I don’t know what all the items are so I have to guess/ make up categories. I’m sure there’s a huge deviation between what I call the things and what they’re supposed to be 😂. There’s no way I’ll be able to beat it before it leaves especially with playing YL. I like the idea of it it’s just not hitting the mark for me.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Xbox: Halo infinite campaign and playing ranked ni the multiplayer.
Switch: After my last exam i will play some mario party with my friends.
Lol at people saying halo is boring xxx
I'm l!saying Halo and loving every second of it. Even the seconds spent downplaying it im loving it
I played Dante's Inferno when it first came out, @Balta666, and I absolutely loved it. It was one of my favourite games of the 360 era. How is it holding up all these years later?
@Fiendish-Beaver some of the the jumping sections did not age the best but in general still very enjoyable
Chivalry 2, Matrix awakens & Super Toy Cars offroad.
I’m taking a break from og halo to play assassins creed odyssey. I saw the mentions of dead island and that looks like fun too.
Xbox Series X: Forza Horizon 5
Nintendo Switch: Animal Crossing
PS5: Nothing
PC: Age of empires 4
I played halo on dec 8 and I said oh it’s the same exact halo as every halo with slightly better graphics then I deleted it. And started playing far cry 4.
Halo Infinite, been with Halo since day one.
Would never have thought campaign wise adding a grappling hook for movement and grabbing items etc and being open world ish, would have such an impact on gameplay for me. Amazing game for me, but keep some campaign DLC coming and add some environmental variety etc.
Was playing Halo Infinite until I realized it was nothing more than CoD! LOL Bye
Cyberpunk 2077. Obviously!
Actually I'm dipping into Halo a few minutes here and there, but I'm mostly trying to save it for when coop is released, so it's basically a game for next year for me. FH5 is still big in my rotation. STILL chipping away at Yakuza 0. Over on the ps side I'm still knee deep in GoT with the expansion, and keep poking at deathloop. I was too impatient to wait for game pass for an arkane immersive sim and it was half price.
Final Fantasy XIII-2
@Ashadelo what do you know m. same
@mousieone I actually really enjoy it, so much I have yet to try Halo ^_^
Nice! Thank you, @Balta666. I will definitely be jumping back into this game at some point.
Was playing through the master chief collection, and got half way through halo: CE. Decide to take a break, and now am trying different games in my library. I am playing Assasins Creed:Odyssey right now, and am having a blast with it. I have a hunter build with the bow, and am loving just destroying enemies from a distance.
