The weekend starts here! We've got plenty of great content to check out on Xbox over the next few days, including more Xbox Game Pass additions, four Free Play Days titles and a whole bunch of Gamescom discounts on the Xbox Store.
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

So, I'm off to AEW All In at Wembley Stadium this weekend for the second year running! With that in mind, I'll be playing some AEW: Fight Forever (as well as WWE 2K24) to get me in the mood. The AEW game has been pretty disappointing in terms of DLC over the past 12 months, but I still find the core gameplay to be very enjoyable.
Beyond that, I just recently downloaded Still Wakes The Deep on Xbox Game Pass, I've been dipping into a bit of the new House of Golf 2 (will hopefully have a review soon), and I'm excited to continue with Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Have a good weekend, folks!

Hello there fellow gamers.
Having finishing AC Mirage, a really good stealth game and finally finished the amazing Lies of P, I´m now currently thinking of playing Alone in the Dark and maybe, probably play Control for a third time on my Series X. I just love that game, it´s so fun.
Although I do want to replay Lies of P for all the achievements.... And because the game is that good.
Will also dable in Rise of the Ronin and some Street Fighter 6 matches on my PS5.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Lots of AoE4 and some racing inbetween battles - Grid Legends, FH4&5. Might return to Starfield if there’s time. All on Series X. Oh and a bit of Kingdom Rush on iPad.
Have a good weekend everyone.
I played some of Dead Space Remake. Also, my in-laws have the kids for the weekend, so my wife and I ordered a nice dinner and laid in bed playing It Takes Two for about six hours. What an incredible game. Plus, it was just great having that time with just my wife, even if it’s a strange theme for that exact moment. 😂
@Feffster how is AoE4 on a controller? I love RTS and have been thinking about trying it on my xbox. Do you play against people with mouse and keyboard and does it seem work okay fairness wise?
Having beaten Trails of Cold Steel IV earlier in the week(took me around 83 hours to beat so quite a bit shorter than Trails of Cold Steel III), I finally started Trails into Reverie so that's what I will probably be playing for the foreseeable future.
The plan: Black Myth, Elder Scrolls, Starfield, Mafia.
By Sunday night, I'll realize I didn't get to half of those.
Still Sea of Stars on Game Pass, still loving every second of it! The battle system is so addictive and the dialogues and movements turn a smile on my face every time.
I’m playing Dead Cells. I’m not sure if I love it enough to buy the full game + DLC or not.
Stellar Blade - Im just really, really enjoying this game and and its growing on me the more I play it, just great imo. I think I´m somewhere around two thirds in, maybe less. I like the variation of the different places and that there are new enemy types introduced at each place as well, and that you also get new abilities or attacks that keep things fresh!
TimeSplitters - Took a trip down memory lane, which was very nice. Read that trophies are coming for all three games, so going to wait for that before playing more. Nostalgia plays a big part for me here, will se how the games hold up once that fades a bit.

I picked up Dying Light 2 from the end of summer sale. Story is mid at best, but the gameplay is stellar and it just feels good slicing and dicing and clubbing zombies to death as you parkour across a city.
Microsoft Wordament (Android) - Working through adventure mode and doing dailies.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Onto Chapter 16 with Chase in tow.
NBA Jam (Windows Phone) - Still playing this nearly daily.
I started Dustborn on Series X - it sounded like the sort of thing I might like and happily it is. I wasn’t keen on the characters at first - they seemed too ‘about what you’d expect’ in a game and the story throws you in at the deep end a bit, but they become more sympathetic once you learn their backstories and what is going on.
I’m also going to progress a bit in 7 Days to Die. My massacre of the day 56 blood moon horde from my ranger tower caused overconfidence on my part, demonstrated when the day 63 horde brought the tower crashing down on top of me.
A Plague Tale 2. I'm assuming it has a 2 year GamePass deadline so I'm aiming for having it at 1000G by then. I did buy my Series X for that game on the day before so I have no excuses. On Chapter 10. I definitely don't love this as much as the 1st one I played in 2020. It feels way too puzzle focused.
I think I'm also going to dip a bit into Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand and some No Man's Sky. Honestly, I just want to zone out this weekend, my work has been too hectic and my brain feels like an eraser rubbed hard against a carpet.
@FatGuyInLilCoat - it works really well with the controller, nice intro to get you used to the commands. To be honest I’m a single player gamer, so can’t speak for the online side of things or vs mouse & keyboard. Nice game though and it is one of those that you suddenly realise it has eaten up hours of your day without realising it.
Mostly Wind Waker HD, and Zelda II. Haven't decided on anything else.
If I play anything. Which I haven’t decided, I am going to continue playing sea of stars. I started because I thought it was going to leave gamepass, and I am enjoying it. Waiting till visions of mana and Star Wars outlaws come out. Good wishes to everyone this weekend.
@NintendoByNature i've never liked zelda 2. but only played it on wii so no save states. maybe if i played it on switch with those, it'd be more enjoyable
Black Myth Wukong if I get the chance to play
What i am playing this weekend? Only the first descendants. Love that game. Also fun to help new players level up fast.
Watchdogs Legion. Finished it, but since I enjoyed it a lot, I'm hunting some achievements. Maybe I'll start a new game to fool around.
Also Dead Age... Don't judge me. I just wanted something short before Star Wars Outlaws. It's... okay.
So I finally beat BG3!!! For me it was a hard game to master but when it finally clicked, it is so good! I went from giving up on the game in act 1 to rolling credits with a big grin on my face. I can imagine this being a game I will play over again just to take different paths in the future.
This weekend it's back to a steady rotation of hunting down the final costumes in Stellar Blade on PS5.
Forza 4 and Starfield (with the new vehicle) on Series X while waiting for Shattered Space next month.
And nothing on Switch OLED unfortunatly. I think my next game will be Lego Horizon on that console.
Im also really looking forward to Dragon Age Veilguard.
Have a good weekend.
World of Warcraft (PC) Getting my characters ready for the The War Within which drops this Tuesday. Haven't been this excited for WoW in a long time.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (PC) After the announcement earlier this week of a new HoMM coming it made me want to revisit this game again.
I have been bouncing around Quake, Brotato and Powerwasher Simulator… maybe at the moment I’m just playing games for a short period of time and later I can try to restart Assassins Creed 1
@Boldfoxrd I first beat it on the nes classic edition without using save states. Ever since I beat it "fairly," I've been wise enough to abuse save states. It's honestly a much more enjoyable experience if you use save states and I can recommend it. Otherwise, you'll be ripping your hair out like I did the first time I beat it.
Xbox all weekend..
Skywalker Saga, been too long in my backlog.
Hopefully Turtles Shredders Revenge with my wife
I've completed Chants of Sennar today, it was an interesting little game, would recommend to those who enjoy the puzzle genre. Now, moved to The Gunk, nothing special, but a nice, entertaining and simple game.
@Tasuki oh wow, HoMM 3 what an awesome classic! 2 and 3 are my all time faves.
Really enjoying Black Wukong i must say. Challenging for me, but Im enjoying myself..
Also still plodding through Diablo 4 ahead of the expansion. Its a big game!
Whatever you are playing this weekend, have fun!
Started COD MW III, also am really enjoying dungeons of Hinterberg which i really recommend
i play Unravel 2 co-op as well
@NintendoByNature I did that with Zelda 1 in 08. I'd definitely need save states to do it again though
@Boldfoxrd yep. Same here for me. First time was without save states for zelda 1. I use save states now.
@Tasuki Asgrologers proclaim month of the PLAGUE!
Your productivity is about to be halved.
Last night I played a bunch of Pico-8 games, including a couple neat FPS titles like Caped Feline Arena (which sounds like a multi-player, but it's just a normal boomer shooter type game) and also Picohot which is a demake of Superhot except that you cannot turn the camera at all - I finished that one in maybe 5 minutes, so calling it short would be a massive understatement. While it does cost money to buy the Pico-8 console license, you can play the games for free in your internet browser on PC or Mobile. There are also emulation options as well. Check it out if you haven't - the whole concept of a "fantasy console" is super interesting.
Mostly though I'm just playing Black Myth: Wukong. I finally beat the Whiteclad Noble after grinding a bunch of levels and many attempts and re-strategizing my approach. Bit of a speed bump there for me, so hoping to get back into adventuring.
Starfield exploring with buggy
Finally beat that rat ***** Radahn, although with the help of multiplayer. Don’t care. Lost over 300 times. Tried everything. Nothing worked. He is the worst and most unfair boss in From history. Time to continue Starfield and GOT.
I played a bit of Atlas Fallen.
I didn't care for it.
It is now uninstalled
I tried Altas Fallen and after 6 hours I can say that I like it a lot.
Playing master chief collection started off on halo reach just wanted something straight forward to play and a bit of eafc and tony hawks pro skater remake I've finally gotten good at it again 👏😊
Well here we go with another amazing WAYP. Been a stupendous week around here. On the Switch I made it through Chapter 1 of Trails Through Daybreak and honestly I absolutely love it. The trails games never seem to miss one bit. Love Agnés the most of this cast. Otherwise I beat FFVII Rebirth which honestly may be GOTY it absolutely destroyed me and is an absolute work of art. But that’s not the only one I also beat PERSONA 3 RELOAD. Yes after 6 months I finally beat Persona 3 for the first time. I would never have been able to do it without the help of my best friend and I send these to him each week so I wanna say right here thank you to him. Now I get like two weeks off of P3R until The Answer comes out and then it’s ALL IN again. Also played a little Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and man do I still love that game too it’s so cozy and fun. Also bought all of JJK from a guy on eBay and what with the series ending I’m pretty excited for those. Also got a preorder in on Bakeru and can’t wait for that. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some Dawntrail in celebration of FFVII Rebirth and P3R being done. Certainly the two games I’m swapping in their place are gonna be Dawntrail and SMTV:V. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Monster Hunter Stories, Trails Through Daybreak, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, Dragons Dogma 2, Emio when that ships and gets in, Concord, Star Wars Outlaws and Visions of Mana. Those last 4 are all first time play sessions since three of them come out this week. I do wanna give Concord its fair shake tho I’m not just gonna mindlessly hate it. Getting super hype for WWE Bash In Berlin too that’s gonna be kinda cool. I seriously can’t wait for Kevin Vs Cody, Rhea and Damian Vs Liv and Dirty Dom, CM Punk Vs Drew, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs Jade and Bianca and GUNTHER Vs Randy Orten. That’s right all the matches are announced and I’m gonna update my rating and say it’s a solid A Tier PLE. Anime of the week gotta go to Mayonaka Punch, VTUBER Legend, Oshi No Ko and Mission Yozakura Family. Oshi No Ko continues to be magnificent like always and Mission Yozakura Family is gonna sub in for Delicious in Dungeon as the long lasting 24 episode show. And a special shoutout to a show I got absolutely addicted to this week and destroyed the first season of, Only Murders In The Building. Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin are absolutely amazing and it’s such a wonderful show. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling and Remap Radio. As always yall stay safe, be stupendous to each other. Have a totally awesome weekend and of course Happy Gaming.
I'm currently playing Figment on Gamepass
Finally played the original Halo game via the MC collection on my series X.
Holy damn I hate driving the Warthog. I failed that last escape five times. Damn thing steers like a whale, and I fully admit I may be doing it wrong.
Cod mw3 zombies but mainly mad max to try get almost finished. I did finish still wakes the deep this week really enjoyed it. 1 achievement glitched so had to speed in it a second tie but didn’t take long at all
I started playing that weird little game "Extinction". It's like Attack on Titan put through a World of Warcraft filter. Not sure why I always levitate towards these weird little games but that's my weekend!
