Welcome to the weekend! We've still got a couple more days to wait until the big official releases of MLB The Show 22 (on Game Pass) and LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, but until then, Weird West and Crusader Kings 3 are now available on Xbox Game Pass, there are more Free Play Days titles to check out, and the usual batch of weekly deals are live on Xbox as well. Plenty to keep busy with!

I'm going to be busy playing a couple of secret things this weekend, but if I get any extra time (I probably won't), I'll likely spend it with Weird West on Xbox Game Pass, along with the recent releases of Shredders and WWE 2K22.
In terms of Shredders specifically, I'm really still having a good time with that game. I can see why some people haven't taken to it, but it's a great way to kill ten minutes at a time, and I feel like I've gotten really accustomed to the mechanics at this point. If you haven't given it a chance on Game Pass yet, I advise at least sticking with it for an hour-or-so.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Beat Record of Lodoss War on Gamepass, very good / easy metroidvania.
Then I started Stranger of Paradise: FF Origins
Elden Ring, it just seems to keep getting bigger. I’ve spiralled out of control
Finishing up Guardians of the Galaxy, more Horizon 5 with the drift story and weekly events and continuing with Danganronpa.
I've become absolutely hooked by Assassin's Creed Origins, it's such a fun game. Coming from Odyssey, it feels a lot more like a traditional AC game. It has both its ups and downs but overall, it's a very refreshing experience.
Will also be playing Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong Adventure DLC as I've finished the main game and I'm halfway through the DLC. It's fun so far and more varied than the main campaign. In terms of Game Pass, I'll be continuing my playthrough of Tunic as I'm more than halfway through the game and I'll be checking out some more of Guardians of the Galaxy, which is really good so far.
The original Doom with ray tracing and probably some more Kirby and Elden Ring
@Royalblues I absolutely love the Picross games. I've played through Picross S1-S3 on Switch and I'm looking forward to playing Sega Picross next. It's easily my favourite puzzle game of all time, I can get lost playing it for hours on end. It never gets old.
And if you like the regular Picross mode, wait until you try Colour Picross mode. It's much more comprehensive as you have to take into consideration both numbers and colours of the tiles.
Weird West which is awesome, so many different ways to experiment and cool moments
On the switch I will be continuing with fire emblem three houses whi h I've just started the side story DLC do I can recruit the characters into the main game and my god it is HARD. I will also be playing the new Kirby again, did the first World last week and will do another one this weekend, love the little challenges for each level.
On playstation 5 I completed Horizon Forbidden West last night so can now finally move onto Tiny Tina Wonderlands later today, also reached level 47 in Elden Ring last night and onto the 5th area so ant wait to explore that but Im more surprised I've lasted this long albeit thanks to the summoning stones lol
On xbox I've decided to put the series S on for the first time in 2 months, started playing guardians of the galaxy on gamepass and having a blast so far, will say though that the constant dialogue between the characters whilst traversing can get too much
Fire emblem awakening on the 3DS. Almost done with the game and it’s great. It’s my first FE game too.
I might take a look at the psnow library now that I have a subscription.
No xbox or switch this weekend.
@Kooky_Daisuke That sucks. If you’re in the EU you should be able to exercise your right to be forgotten when you’re done with the game. But of course they could potentially sell your data before that.
Tunic - What a brilliant little game. Not sure I've ever played a game with more secrets, usually all hidden in plain sight. Zelda crossed with Dark Souls, but not in the way you think. Plus it has a charm all of it's own, the in game manual is genius. Like Souls games it doesn't hold your hand, explore at your leisure and always be on the look out for secrets especially in the in game manual, so sneaky! Loved this game. Currently replaying it.
Her Story - Took a flight last week and finally got round to playing this. What an original and brilliant game. Still thinking about what is true, what isn't etc. Will stick with me for a long time.
Genshin Impact - Enjoying exploring The Chasm finally. Though got bad luck on the wishes going for Ayato and got Qiqi... again... for C3. I hate my luck.
Copy and paste once again... Horizon Forbidden West on my PS5.
I’m actually quite jealous of people playing Elden Ring. I’ve heard so many good things about it, but being a FromSoftware game I know I’ll be crap at it 🙄 oh well, still plenty of other games to play, which for me will be Horizon Forbidden West (PS5), Weird West (XSX), Gran Turismo 7 (PS5) Kirby and the forgotten land (Switch) and some Dead Cells (XSX).
Elden ring for the weekend and it's been incredible so far. Whenever i finish that, it will be Guardians of the Galaxy first then play Assassians creed Valhalla
Just started the story mode "Braking Point" (groan) on F1 2021 on Gamepass. It's a bit silly, but quite fun so far. Definitely keeps me interested in playing rather than just jumping in cold to career mode.
Rayman Origins (Vita) - Almost done with Jibberish Jungle.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Just dailies and challenge packs levels.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - The leaderboard isn't uploading anymore, but I'm still trying for high scores anyways.
Dishonored 2 on PC - absolutely loving this. Just got to chapter 7, and got the new item and I am VERY excited to see what they do with it.
Vestaria Saga on PC - 99.9% Fire Emblem made by the guy who created Fire Emblem. Graphics are bad, but everyrthing else had been great so far. Only on Chapter 3 but this is classic FE and I'm really enjoying it.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein on PC - I want to love this, but I just don't. The enemy AI are all god-tier psychics who can apparently see through walls and have perfect aim from 10 miles away. I also hate all of the guns. After putting it down for a while, I'm save-scumming my way through to completion.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Switch - Truly a delight. This game is a ton of fun.
I finally beat Elden Ring after 120 hours. I have all of the trophies aside from two different endings - and I was stupid enough to not create a backup save. I want to go back to get the Platinum in NG+, and I know it won’t take that long, but I just want to play something different for a while.
So, I’m now playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. It’s hard playing a game with the depth, scope, and player agency as Elden Ring, but this game is pretty fun for what it is. I enjoy the linearity of the game and the onslaught of goofy dialogue. Some people find it exhausting but I find it charming.
I’m also going to finally start Tunic on my Series X. I wanted to start this game a week or so ago, but I couldn’t bring myself away from Elden Ring. Now that I’ve completed that game, I will finally jump into this game.
Thanks for the recommendation Fraser - I started Shredders a few days ago and love it. There are quirks, being such a small dev team, but as a snowboarder it’s such a great game.
@fiskadoro I’ve never played the franchise but follow F1 and enjoy arcade racers. Should I play it?
@Royalblues I really like Sudoku as well, but Picross just has much more depth to stay appealing even after hundreds of hours of playtime.
If you're looking for more Picross experiences, I highly recommend Murder by Numbers on the Switch eShop. It's basically a 15 hour ''Ace Attorney'-like visual novel mixed with Picross puzzles.
Man, all this talk has put me in the mood to play some Picross. Might make a change of plans and buy Sega Picross later today!
Spending a lot of time playing Crusader Kings 3! First time playing this series for me, and there is a lot to learn, so spent a good deal of time looking on YouTube on the different gameplay mechanics and how to start.
It's good so far, but not feeling the 10/10 reviews from Critics. That's not to say it isn't good though, I'm still having a great time playing this.
I''ll be playing Pokémon Legends Arceus
I played Weird West for about three hours on Friday evening. I did enjoy playing it but it couldn't compete with my itching to get back to play Crusader Kings 3. Which is just brilliant.
Weird West, so far so good .Though I needed to restart a previous save cause I killed a quest giver (post office man who charged $300 for something I needed)
Currently playing Shenmue 3 and Halo Infinite side missions (finished story twice already, one on Xbox and now on PC).
@k3lt0n I've only just begun, but I think a true F1 enthusiast might prefer the regular career mode maybe? It does seem like the game offers a lot of difficulty tweaking and assists to take it from arcade racer to flat-out simulation, so it's probably worth a shot!
Just played through The Gunk and I thoroughly enjoyed it! What a wonderful charm-full little platform we shooter game it is. Really relaxing music in the background the whole time too. Loved it. Now I need to finish Halo Infinite but I'm also keen to check out the other Game Pass titles.
@cbodz Same here. Are there other games out there?! Have got all the achievements now but there are still lots of NPC quests etc to complete.
Q) What Xbox games are you playing this weekend?
A) I was debating what game I should play; originally thinking of revisiting ReCore or Code Vein. Then Bloodstained suddenly had a the surprise DLC update of adding Aurora from Child of Light as a playable character. A crossover between two of my favourite games of the previous gen has made it a must-play this weekend and I've finally found the time to do so.
Well I managed to blow a few hours by getting caught up in tennis (Miami Open), then set up a new Ipad while simultaneously screwing up a Windows update (by delaying them).
The best moment of irony arrived when I spent even more time trying to apply an expiring Best Buy credit to a cheap game but couldn’t find anything. After midnight had passed I saw that the Nier Replicant remake was on sale, and of course that would have paired well with that now-expired Best Buy reward. I bought it anyway, but proceeded to mentally grumble.
So what did I play today? The game of Life. I’m starting another session tomorrow.
Rolled credits on Elden Ring yesterday after around 140 hours. What a game! Glad to be finished with it for a while though.
I think I want to play something easy, where I can steamroll through enemies mindlessly. Might need a musou…or I could get back into Yakuza 0 and finish that up. Unsure.
@YourNameHere relatable. Hope your day today is more enjoyable than yesterday!
@Dusk_Actual So far my pc is stubbornly resisting redemption, but I’ll persevere. Thanks for the good vibes!
I’m going to step away from PS5 for a while. GT7 has fell of a cliff for me. I’m going to keep working my way through Half-life 2 on XBOneX. I’ll also continue my career in F1 ‘21 on Game Pass. And When I need some calm fun puzzle solving I’ll finish the other half of Far: Lone Sails on Game Pass.
