If you're lucky, you might find that Microsoft drops a gift card into your messages over the next day-or-so, as multiple UK Xbox users reported receiving free Xbox gift cards over the weekend in £4 and £8 increments.
Also, don't forget that if you use Microsoft Rewards, you can claim an extra 4000 points if you spend enough money in the sale. Simply go to the MS Rewards app on Xbox, search for the punch card and claim your points when you're done.
What are you buying in the Xbox Summer Sale (if anything)? Let us know down in the comments below.

Not much on my wishlist that was in the sale TBH, but picked up the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate edition now that they're done with DLC and Split/Second as it was cheap. Konami Anniversary Arcade Collection for a few £s bumped it over the £30 for the reward points.
I got MK11 Ultimate Edition and the Castlevania collection, I was going to get the Tomb Raider collection but I already own Shadows on disc and saw Rise on CD Keys for £5. I may pop back for some other cheap old games
@SplooshDmg i'm playing it right now and I love it, seems to be a mix of shadow warrior 3(unreleased) and vanquish, almost completed it in one run yesterday. I'd wished the weapon swapping to be different though, doesn't really feel intuitive. €5 for it is a steal though.
So far Mad Max with 90% discount
I picked up the Bioshock Collection! I prefer playing third parties on Xbox but almost broke down and bought this on PS earlier this week because the Xbox version is never on sale. Glad I waited an extra couple of days. This is a big win for my left thumb tendons!
@SplooshDmg Bulletstorm is short, stupid and immature... but it's bloody brilliant.
So MSFS, Ascent, Hades, 12 Minutes, and Psychonauts 2 are all coming within 1 month to Gamepass. No need to buy anything when those will hold me over until at leas t the next sale, though by that time, I might be playing Forza and Halo.
@SplooshDmg I'm talking about the swapping in combat. Don't know if it's the holding y button/using the d-pad or just the general slowness of (my) weapon swapping. But it feels a bit slow for this game, I really just need one of those controllers with extra buttons.
Also think it's a missed opportunity not being able to swap weapons when sliding.
Just finished it btw, would buy a sequel if it ever gets greenlit.
@The_New_Butler I don't know if that is Microsofts "worst idea of a customer" at all. I suspect they see it more as you playing right into their ecosystem/hands, whilst giving them time to make the service too good to drop. All the stats on customer churn and retention for other services suggests the longer you are a member the less likely you are to give it up.
Whether that is good for other devs if you aren't buying games on the platform is another question altogether.
I find myself in a very similar position. Subscribed to Game Pass for the last 4 years on deals, with another 3 years already stockpiled via deals. Not buying much in the sales as there is already too much to play. BUT I have started buying some cross platform games on Xbox over PS, whereas last gen I was mostly PS. It's a long term game MS is playing.
@The_New_Butler Similar boat again. I don't have loyalty to any but MS have been making enough moves in the last 4 years to make me lean more on their side right now. Also agree that this can, and likely will, change over time. I'm here for games not brands and been around long enough to see these rise and fall, come and go.
I considered waiting for XSX and PS5 this gen as I had such a large backlog but the fact they both improved my existing games and backlog more than ever (more like a PC upgrade in that regard) made them day 1 buys for me and i've been really happy with them. If next gen is anything like XSX & PS5 I'll likely be doing the same next time for the added horsepower.
Ultimately I think there's enough room in Microsoft's and Sony's plans for many types of consumer. We're just one of them, and they know our spending habits change over time too. Even if our spending is down a little right now they can surely only see us as a win.
After nearly spending a fortune I dialed it right back and just bought Resident Evil 4 😁
I wish I had a pound for every time I've bought that game! I'd have, well, a fiver 🤔😄
@The_New_Butler I doubt the deals will dry out soon actually. You can still pull off the "3 years gold to ultimate" conversion trick. Only caveat is that you have to let your GPU expire completely and if it's your second time you have to purchase 1 month of GPU (instead of the $1 trial). On top of that, if you wanna play real dirty, combine it with buying Brazilian XLG and activate it using VPN.
Friend of mine did it just a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I still have years left.
I picked up Hellblade and Dragon's Dogma and will probably get the Master Chief Collection, which will be my first foray into the series.
If I enjoy cod Cold War for the week I may buy it in the sale
I've never played a Forza game in my life, but with Forza Horizon 4 on sale I've decided to finally give it a try. If i don't like it i can at least get those 4000 Microsoft points
I can't decide if I should get Far Cry 5 or not.
I wasn’t going to buy anything, but Red Faction Guerrilla Remarstered caught my eye for $6. It’s a great game when you want a mindless shooter. I still want it in Switch, but I’ll take it for that price.
