So, we're still waiting for Call of Duty to become a part of Xbox Game Pass in some form, with the top dogs at Microsoft still figuring things out since the company's big ActiBlizz purchase. While we've already asked which classic CoD you'd like to play first on the service, today we thought we'd gauge opinions on the whole series in general. Basically, which is your absolute favourite Call of Duty game on any Xbox console?

As pretty big fans of the series this is a tough one indeed. Call of Duty Black Ops absolutely deserves a shout for ushering in the ever-popular subseries, as does Treyarch's 2008 classic in Call of Duty: World at War. However, we'd have to turn the clock back to 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for our absolute favourite in the series.

CoD4 is just a stone-cold classic, and it still holds up to this day. That's even more true when you factor in 2016's Modern Warfare Remastered, which although isn't quite the same, cemented the first Modern Warfare as a real high-point for the series. Honestly, we don't think it's ever been matched!

Of course, you could also look at some of the more modern releases in this long-running series, especially if you weren't around so much in the Xbox 360 era. Black Ops 3 always seems to be a popular pick, as does 2019's big Modern Warfare reboot, but we don't think either match up to the classics to be honest.

Anyway, enough about what we think! We're here to ask you about your favourite Call of Duty game. We know it's tough to pick just one, but if you could single out your absolute favourite CoD game on Xbox, what would it be and why?
