There's no contest when Isolation's in the list. I've been playing awful Alien tie-ins since the 80s, and Isolation was the first to nail the atmosphere of the first movie.
That's the easiest poll vote in a long long time. Alien Isolation all the way. A genuine modern classic of video games.
Isolation, by a mile.
Colonial Marines still hurts. How I wish we could have played the version unveiled back in 2008.
I’ve only played AvP 2010 and Isolation. AvP had some fun moments, while I absolutely hated Isolation. Isolation made me nothing but frustrated. So my vote clearly goes to AvP.
If Capcom’s AvP beat ’em up would have been on Xbox, I would have voted for that. I hope that Capcom releases a Capcom Beat ’Em Up Bundle vol.2 with AvP among others.
Has to be isolation, the rest just feel cheap and don't do the franchise justice
I'm not sure any of these better Alien 3 on the SNES
Aliens: Isolation certainly had something 'special' about it but I also think some aspects also made it extremely frustrating and had some poor Pacing issues too. Being stuck in a closet for 'long' periods of time due to the Alien being stuck in the same room, respawning multiple times in a Row right next to the Alien etc did frustrate and affect the pacing...
AvP was a LOT of Fun - playing through 3 campaigns as each of the Factions mixed up game-play too. It isn't as pretty either but then its more limited by the technology of the day - something Alien Isolation uses well to create a good atmosphere and nostalgically accurate to the source material - Alien.
From a game-play perspective, I had to vote AvP. I didn't really like Colonial Marines or Fireteam. I don't recall Predator Concrete Jungle or AvP: Extinction well enough - which is perhaps a good indication of where they sit in my ranking. Alien: Isolation is certainly the best 'game' visually and captures the atmosphere and look of the Film well - but I'd rather play AvP again than A:I
Isolation is way overrated. The only other one on the list I played is Fireteam Elite, which was pretty fun with friends 🤔 Yeah, Fireteam Elite is my vote.
@BAMozzy Sounds like you and I had the same kind of experience with Isolation, I’m glad I’m not alone in finding that game more frustrating than fun to play.
I kind of want to replay AvP now. I haven’t played it since it released in 2010, and it is BC
Alien Isolation is the best thing that happened to the franchise since Aliens and I'm still hoping for a sequel.
At least we're getting Routine on game pass which looks heavily inspired by isolation.
Alien isolation in my opinion is the best survival horror game ever made nothing beats this game for constant tension
reviews of 5.9 from IGN and 6 from gamespot didnt help. saying the stuff like playing the game on hard difficulty was hard genius that.
Isolation is hands-down the greatest Alien franchise game ever made.
AvP by Capcom for arcade is 2nd
Aliens by Konami for arcade is 3rd.
Whoever wins, we lose.
I loved many of the AvP games, but Alien Isolation is just on a whole other level in terms of what an Alien game should really feel like.
It has to be Isolation for me it nailed the alien vibe. A close second for me would be Fireteam Elite as I did enjoy that.
@GamingFan4Lyf Totally agree, those are the best Aliens games by far!
I personally think AvP 2010 is the best. But isolation is good as well it's just I don't like horror games tho it was enjoyable to see the aliens pretty face up close like we're dating.
