We've never gone this long without a new Gears game; next year will mark six years. This is only possible because Microsoft now has a ton of studios, giving each studio time to develop their game. Until 2018, there were five studios; today there are more than 30 in development alone. Microsoft talks about more than 40 games between its own studios and partners. The downside is that franchises we love will have increasingly longer intervals between their releases. Another example is Forza Horizon, which next year will complete five years without a new game, when before it was every two years. Halo is another game that will complete five years without a new release next year. And now, in 2026, after years, we will again have Halo, Gears, and Forza in a single year, among other surprises, after all, the Xbox brand will be 25 years old in 2026. The Halo franchise will also be 25 years old, and Gears 20 years old.
The Game of the Year award is unnecessary; after all, the voters are a bunch of journalists who don't play at all. What I'm waiting for are the announcements.
@Chip-Douglas The main mission of the game is quite simple and gets better in the final parts; the game truly shines in the various side missions and faction missions. However, I recommend playing the campaign up to the NASA mission to unlock several powers that will greatly improve your gameplay.
@Chip-Douglas Starfield is very good, but you have to know how to play. Over 400 hours and counting. It's truly the game with the most hand-crafted content from Bethesda. The faction missions and various side quests are awesome.
Typical analysis to attract audience. Come see why I gave a bad rating to a good game. The guys who can't even give ratings to games are very shallow analyses. After the purchase by IGN it got worse. Xbox Pure is a small blog that uses these tactics to attract audience. This is not a real Xbox blog, but a blog of haters.

Re: Xbox Announces Developer Direct Showcase For January, Teases 'A Lot' Of Game Releases In 2026
If it includes Gears E-Day and Forza Horizon 6, for me it will be an excellent event, better than The Game Awards.

The guy did an analysis using Steam, so I don't even pay attention. The Call of Duty store on PC is Battle.net.

Forza Horizon 4? That game isn't even available for purchase in the store anymore.
