Why limit yourself to just an Xbox remote? The best remote I've found controls my Xbox, my Roku, my TV, my stereo receiver, etc.. It's only $26 and it works great, although it, too, is line of sight. It's the Inteset 4-in-1 Universal Backlit IR Learning Remote.
