Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 13-14)

@brettvsgodzilla Performance-wise the game is gorgeous especially with the Series update(occasionally something wonky happens but just adds to the charm). I have two separate saves(playthroughs) one at 80 hours another over 100(but you can breeze through the story under 40), there's a New Game+, hard mode and another 35 hours between both DLC. Some may call it bloated but I love ticking off locations and improving my weapons of choice(of which you have many to choose). I find the game easy, even the first time through, probably easiest in the series on normal difficulty.

As far as historically, I've spent hours just taking and composing photos and just exploring. Its a wonderful game world to live in and I revisit often. I for one loved this Ubisoft. This was peak of that era.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Had No Black Friday Deals, So They Lost To A Console We've Never Heard Of (US)

@dskatter Price Charting has it steadily climbing since Nov 2023. Current "CIB" value is $423. PS5 $349. Only the Switch 2 worth more "CIB" at $451.

As a collector with hopes of passing on to my kids. XBOX in its entirety is the best bang for your collecting dollar. Almost every new 3rd party release is limited from start. New games will keep their value if truly 3rd party.

Re: Netflix Is Buying Warner Bros. For Even More Money Than Xbox's ActiBlizz Deal

Death knell for DC and Warner Bros. I will never give Netflix my money. Ad free subs will push $50. We should all not want this to happen. Netflix is tailored and successful only in foreign markets, domestically it sits in 2nd or sometimes 3rd and the diversity push will make this far worse than Netflix is now. Collect those physical games now, there will be nothing physical from Netflix. Awful awful news for the industry and fans of WB. That's all folks...

Been waiting over a year for Wreckreation, pre-ordered on Amazon last January, better be good. Waiting to see BMX Streets, hoping for ScooterX/Mat Hoffman-like at the worst. Been sorely missing arcade style open world-ish extreme sports games the past few generations, nice to see a comeback lately.

Re: Xbox Journalist Says Latest Rumours Are 'A Huge Challenge For The Brand Right Now'

Microsoft has done nothing but renege on every commitment and promise and it started with XboxOne continuing through the poorly implemented Activision buyout and on to today with incompetent leadership. Gamepass is not a sustainable business model nor are random price hikes in this Orange world, read the frickin' room. Something MS never seems to do. If I were a futures investor(oh hey, I am) MS can take the shades off, the future isn't very bright.

Re: Xbox Adds More Perks For Game Pass Members (October 2025)

Brigurugi

I have never played a F2P and do not play any multiplayer "game" but to even me, who has no idea how these loot pass box season schemes even work, the so-called perks look like entry level stuff you could acquire free in many other ways or items that are cosmetic. The cosmetic stuff makes no sense. You'd think the players wearing the "perks" would be like wearing a target in game. Am I wrong? Does anyone actually use these?

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Feel About Ubisoft+ Classics Being Added To Game Pass Ultimate?

Brigurugi

Some simple math and google you'll find the majority of the games available can be had new/used physical or on sale digital, in it's near library entirety for less than 1 or 2 months of GP ultimate if you try hard enough and you do not need any tier of GP to install and play. Games like Assassin's Creed will take at least a week of play to complete achievements/100%. The maths don't math in the value or necessity department. Easy cancel.
