@brettvsgodzilla Performance-wise the game is gorgeous especially with the Series update(occasionally something wonky happens but just adds to the charm). I have two separate saves(playthroughs) one at 80 hours another over 100(but you can breeze through the story under 40), there's a New Game+, hard mode and another 35 hours between both DLC. Some may call it bloated but I love ticking off locations and improving my weapons of choice(of which you have many to choose). I find the game easy, even the first time through, probably easiest in the series on normal difficulty.
As far as historically, I've spent hours just taking and composing photos and just exploring. Its a wonderful game world to live in and I revisit often. I for one loved this Ubisoft. This was peak of that era.
Assassin's Creed: Origins, Curse of the Pharoah dlc. I revisit this amazing game yearly or to be reminded why I love gaming or when needed. I still find new stuff in this gem and this dlc is gorgeous, 25 hours and perfect for a weekend.
Never had I physically saw air leave a room so fast as it did after this announcement at TGA. Snuck under the radar because if radar had picked it up, Hegseth would have double tapped it, it looks that bad.
Even $70 for incomplete, feature-less, Game Pass content is too much. Game Awards last night showed us where Xbox future is going. Nowhere but another store front with their hook being no games, just different leveled tiers at wildly varying prices and Black Ops 12.
Ace Combat, Screamer and Star Wars Galactic Racer/ORep and a heck of a lot I will never ever play. Otherwise seemed to count more games without an Xbox tag than those with. At least advertised last night. Not a good look.
Only proves that every nominee knew of their win or loss at the game awards. Awful expensive plane tickets, hotel and accommodation for 90% of the nominees if they all flew in to lose. Paid compensation had deep pockets last night. Felt like an actual award show.
Maybe they can sell it to Netflix or Skydance. COD, GamePass, Phil, the snotty black lady... all of it. If you're going to run your games and company into the ground burn everything on the way there.
This was sub mediocre, budget spent on voice-over and clearly not actual gameplay. A short yet tedious walking sim an awesome cast and not enough game. Would have been better as an animated short for something like Love, Death & Robots.
@themightyant you want Paramount/Skydance, far more consumer friendly. You're looking at some form of internet reading this, look into why Skydance is better and see the litany of reasons and schooled in the church of business ethics.
Fingers crossed. Ellison will not run WB into the ground and loves video games. Wants in a AAA publisher role really bad. I support Skydance and never a company run by former EA execs in Netsux.
@Runex2121 You loved the Kinect? Imo the Kinect was where everyone turned on MS and started the beginning of eternally being last place or DNQ in the sales wars.
@dskatter my collection value sits at just over $10k and 75% is Xbox. Mostly Xbone generation and up. Can't leave a link here, however, even sold at a low end, it would be a nice DP on a vehicle or jet skis!
@dskatter Price Charting has it steadily climbing since Nov 2023. Current "CIB" value is $423. PS5 $349. Only the Switch 2 worth more "CIB" at $451.
As a collector with hopes of passing on to my kids. XBOX in its entirety is the best bang for your collecting dollar. Almost every new 3rd party release is limited from start. New games will keep their value if truly 3rd party.
Bummer, but this news sends the value of my collection up a percent or so every time an MS failure like this gets reported, especially hardware resale, keep shooting yourselves in the foot Microsoft.
It's a real world RPG, no fantasy hook, a la Kingdom Come(sans setting). A police angle of some kind, agent or avoiding police and agencies. Nothing quite like it, expands on past unsuccessful ideas.
But did they fix the stealth, targeting, the mechs that one shot you from across the map, the fact this IP is a scam and the box office was made up for the second film, how Disney abandoned the 3rd film and no plans to make more, the clipping through everything, the pacing and how about 4k 60fps on consoles?
The game selection pretty much sums up my feeling on cloud gaming... Mediocre un-optimized outdated choices just like the consumer that chooses cloud gaming. It's why an awful streaming service can buy an ageless entertainment icon and it's just okay with everyone. Passives will be force fed everything and say they like it all. Good luck Ubisoft.
Death knell for DC and Warner Bros. I will never give Netflix my money. Ad free subs will push $50. We should all not want this to happen. Netflix is tailored and successful only in foreign markets, domestically it sits in 2nd or sometimes 3rd and the diversity push will make this far worse than Netflix is now. Collect those physical games now, there will be nothing physical from Netflix. Awful awful news for the industry and fans of WB. That's all folks...
Bought physical and digital to support this fantastic game. Best racer released on an xbox platform this year, last year and likely next. Cannot wait for crossplay!
@Jenkinss those two games in particular do not need the help of gamepass to be seen or played. If anything adding one or two of those Global best sellers that were hits before they hit GP give the service some if any credibility. It's these fantastic AA games that deserve a look, getting it too late. Evil West is another great example.
Physical copies went for next to nothing on Amazon. Bought 3, one to keep, two to gift. Shame this didn't hit, fantastic game, too bad it had to go to Game Pass. Your fate is sealed if you hit GP after release.
The only AI I want in videogames is the rubberband-ish kind that you curse after failing a race or a fight, like in Forza, Virtua Fighter or Mario Kart.
What about the battery charge issues and Windows 11 not working with anything? How about all the stuttering and performance issues? is that fun? does that change your habits and make you wish you didn't play bad video game handhelds?
Been waiting over a year for Wreckreation, pre-ordered on Amazon last January, better be good. Waiting to see BMX Streets, hoping for ScooterX/Mat Hoffman-like at the worst. Been sorely missing arcade style open world-ish extreme sports games the past few generations, nice to see a comeback lately.
@Link41x just completed Angry Birds Epic(as far as it would let us go) on an older iPad, my daughter and I started it almost 11 years ago and found our ipad with it still installed and working. Why isn't there a decent AB on Switch 2 or play anywhere?
I don't believe any of these comments... Power Washer Simulator 2 is out. 6 hours in yesterday(Saturday) and with the Lions on a bye week, likely 6 more today.
Haven't played this since launch, Did they fix the ridiculously difficult base AI when you break stealth or just stealth in general? Getting hammered by mechs with pinpoint accuracy when trying to dismantle the "mining" rig or whatever the task for just completing said task, checked me out of Pandora real fast and I never went back
Microsoft has done nothing but renege on every commitment and promise and it started with XboxOne continuing through the poorly implemented Activision buyout and on to today with incompetent leadership. Gamepass is not a sustainable business model nor are random price hikes in this Orange world, read the frickin' room. Something MS never seems to do. If I were a futures investor(oh hey, I am) MS can take the shades off, the future isn't very bright.
Wow! 5 Games? GamePass should cost like $40 or $50 a month. They're giving it away at $30!!!... not. Insta-buy Ball x Pit for Switch 2. $15 roguelike only available on $30 GP, nice flex MS.
Cronos and Hell is Us for physical. I really dig Achilles Survivor, Soulstone Survivors and Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel as digital only and honestly have gotten more attention from me this year. Love these quality survivor-likes of late for quick fixes and stress relief.
Just another breadcrumb in the case of the missing next-gen Xbox. Gonna find this happening a lot lot lot more as devs shy away from the GP demands, form this new solidarity/security and avoid Xbox entirely.
I want an update to allow me to remove all the bloat from the dashboard and when I select "see less of this" I actually see less. I hate the unremovable Play History tab stuck at the end. The entire dashboard is ugly really. So much nicer UI on Switch/2 and PS5 and I can see what I want, wish it were the same on Xbox, nope just ads.
This isn't the "Person Of The Year" TIME Magazine of old. Its an advertisement based service first and foremost, nowadays and "praise" goes to the highest bidder. When is the last time you looked to a TIME magazine article review and thought "I trust TIME, take my money"?
Bought and paid for like a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
I enjoyed the movie outside of the Minecraft world, I want a sequel to see more of the real world. It had that Napoleon Dynamite quirk kinda like a Wes Anderson movie that was great until we went full Minecraft, I wanted more and to live in that "real world" longer. I doubt we get that.
I have never played a F2P and do not play any multiplayer "game" but to even me, who has no idea how these loot pass box season schemes even work, the so-called perks look like entry level stuff you could acquire free in many other ways or items that are cosmetic. The cosmetic stuff makes no sense. You'd think the players wearing the "perks" would be like wearing a target in game. Am I wrong? Does anyone actually use these?
Sidenote: how many actual Xbox owners with GP ultimate actually play Fortnight? I don't play anything mp or mp online, I only realized Fortnite was available for Xbox with this new GP announcement, been a US Xbox player since inception, never FN mentioned in any context with Xbox.(Also never played Fortnite, so I may have no clue what I am talking about)
Some simple math and google you'll find the majority of the games available can be had new/used physical or on sale digital, in it's near library entirety for less than 1 or 2 months of GP ultimate if you try hard enough and you do not need any tier of GP to install and play. Games like Assassin's Creed will take at least a week of play to complete achievements/100%. The maths don't math in the value or necessity department. Easy cancel.
My random decision to cancel any form of GP last month, looks better every week. I'm finding my backlog is full of great games and really brought the fun back to gaming.
