It's a brand new day, the sun is shining (please don't look directly into it), and we've got another Xbox Game Pass update for you! We were only supposed to get one new addition today, but there's actually two thanks to a surprise drop!

Premium members will have access to both of games on offer today, now that Ball x Pit has shuffled down into the mid-tier subscription, and the surprise game is none other than Wolfenstein 3D! We sorta saw this one coming after it briefly appeared in the 'Coming Soon' section, but hey, it's finally here.

Here's a closer look at your two new Xbox Game Pass titles for August 12:

Ball x Pit (Series X|S, PC, Cloud) - New To XGP Premium

BALL x PIT is a brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite. Batter hordes of enemies with ricocheting balls and gather the riches of the pit to expand your homestead, generate resources and recruit unique heroes.

Wolfenstein 3D (Console, PC, Cloud) - Ultimate, Premium, PC

You are OSA super agent B.J. Blazkowicz and you must escape from Castle Wolfenstein and defeat the twisted Nazi regime! Fight all of the memorable enemies from Hans Grosse to Mecha-Hitler in the legendary game that launched the First Person Shooter genre. Search classic levels for hidden secrets that reveal stolen Nazi treasure, health packs, ammo and weapons, or even short cuts.
