Back at the very end of March, we highlighted a game that appeared to be coming to Xbox which looked like Star Wars meets XCOM - and that game has been announced today as Star Wars Zero Company, confirmed for Xbox Series X|S.
Developer Bit Reactor, which is made up of various XCOM veterans, is working on Star Wars: Zero Company, and will be in attendance at Star Wars Celebration this weekend to share more details alongside Respawn Entertainment (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor) and Lucasfilm Games.
This is also where we're going to get a first look at gameplay, so we'll be sure to update this article with more details and footage when it arrives. Here's hoping a release date will be revealed at the time as well.
There's not much more to say on this one for now, so we'll leave you with the description we have so far:
STAR WARS Zero Company™, a single-player turn-based tactics game coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Now, assuming this isn't Disney/EA's attempt to get in the Gacha market, I am so in.
Now that I'm a Star Wars fan, I'm really interested in this. I loved XCOM 2.
Sounds like this one could be very interesting.
Probably 90 quid by the time it comes out, at this rate.
Read, turn based.
Immediately lost all interest or care.
I read turn-based and immediately gained interest.
Love me a star wars game when it's done right, fingers crossed 🤞.
This is a game that holds high interest for me. Whilst I enjoy Star Wars, I really do love XCOM and turn-based games in general, so this combination puts the game very high up my most anticipated games list.
Really looking forward to what they might reveal on Saturday. Hopefully we'll get a release date too, or at least an approximate one...
I too loved XCOM 2, @Lup, though I personally preferred the first game. I remember playing through XCOM when it first came out, and I think it may have been the first turn-based game that I ever played, and I absolutely loved it. Then they released the expansion for it, which changed the game so drastically it was frankly astounding! And I really, really loved it! Then they repeated the formula with XCOM 2, and I was amazed all over again.
I so wish they would make a third game. I'd be all over it like a rash...
