Arma Reforger Dev Claims There's 'Almost No Competition For Us' On Xbox & PS5

Arma Reforger has been back in the news a little bit recently following its big 1.3 update on Xbox and other platforms a couple of weeks ago, and clearly, the team behind it are confident they've got the best game of its kind on Xbox & PS5.

Speaking to VideoGamer in a new interview, project lead Krzysztof Bielawski claimed that there's "basically almost no competition" for Arma Reforger on Xbox and PS5, noting that the likes of Hell Let Loose and Insurgency: Sandstorm are smaller titles that don't offer the same kind of "unmatched" gameplay experience.

“The truth is also that on Xbox, on PS5, there is basically almost no competition for us. What we provide, the gameplay experience is unmatched by other games. Yes, you can find military shooters like Insurgency: Sandstorm, Hell Let Loose. But those are still slightly smaller games, often a lot smaller. We provide a platform: we have modding, we have player creations in the form of scenarios. It’s a platform where people can do a lot more than in a typical shooter.”

Now, we're sure that Bielawski isn't trying to say those aforementioned titles aren't any good - both Hell Let Loose and Insurgency: Sandstorm have plenty of fans - but just that Arma Reforger is a more exhaustive package overall.

I can't personally say I've played this one, so I'm interested to see what the Pure Xbox community thinks in the comments. Is Arma Reforger in a league of its own, or do you think there's something else that surpasses it on Xbox?
