A few years ago, back in late 2022, the Pure Xbox YouTube channel was sprung into life by our dear friend and ridiculously talented video producer Craig Reid, and he's done a wonderful job building up the channel by almost 30,000 subscribers as a result of his efforts.

Craig has produced some extremely popular and very high-quality content over on YouTube, including reviews, previews, comparisons, lists, guides and Xbox Game Pass roundups that have racked up over 100,000 views each.

Sadly though, amidst an industry that's facing plenty of challenges right now, the decision has been made to finish up with the Pure Xbox YouTube channel. This means Craig will no longer be working with the team at Pure Xbox, but the staff remain in close contact with him and we're certain he'll go on to great things in the future.

We asked Craig for some parting words earlier today, and here's what he had to say:

"It’s been a career highlight for me to work with the brilliant staff at Pure Xbox. Not only are they some of the most talented folk, but they’re also wonderful people. Whilst the decision to close down Pure Xbox on YouTube is a tough one for me personally, I wish nothing but success for Fraser, Ben, PJ, and Liam going forward with Pure Xbox."

"However, this isn’t the end for me! I’ve been hard at work over the past week forming my next venture, Game Friend. This is a channel for me to continue hosting all of the latest gaming news, reviews, and all of that fun stuff. Whilst I’m saying goodbye to my role at Pure Xbox, I’ll still be around, cheering on my friends and the community."

Aside from the excellent written work that Craig has also provided for us, this announcement doesn't affect the operation of the Pure Xbox website, where we'll continue to bring you the latest and greatest Xbox content.

If you'd like to support Craig's new YouTube venture, head over to the "Game Friend" YouTube channel where you'll find many of his Pure Xbox videos along with a preview of the upcoming Xbox Game Pass title Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

On behalf of the staff here at Pure Xbox, thanks for everything Craig. Don't be a stranger!
