Rumour: New GTA 5 Update Suggests It Might Be Coming Back To Xbox Game Pass

It's been a couple of years now since GTA 5 was last part of the Xbox Game Pass library, and if a new Rockstar Games Launcher update is any indication, there might be plans to bring it to Game Pass once again in 2025.

We actually talked about this last year when the game was spotted with a "PC Game Pass" symbol on the backend, but nothing ever came of it in 2024. However, a knowledgeable Rockstar Games reporter known as Tez2 on social media has advised that the launcher's latest update has added support for the Xbox PC app for the first time.

We're obviously awaiting the highly-anticipated release of GTA 6 later this year as things stand, so it makes sense for Take-Two to drum up even more interest and potentially some late sales of GTA 5 in the interim. It normally only lasts on Game Pass for a few months at a time, so perhaps we'll see it in the middle of the year or something like that.

Anyway, don't take this as confirmation or anything along those lines for the time being, but just keep in mind that GTA 5 could be heading back to Xbox Game Pass at some point this year if you're interested in checking it out.
