The Xbox March 2025 update has been unveiled by Microsoft today, and as we're starting to see these days, it's not really focused around console anymore - this month's version is mainly focused around PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
One of the highlight features on the list is related to console though, and that's a series of in-game benefits that are rolling out to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members - which we've covered elsewhere on Pure Xbox.
Here's an overview of the Xbox March 2025 update, with more details available at Xbox Wire:

New Benefits For Free-To-Play Titles With Game Pass
Starting this week, we’re rolling out even more value to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members with new in-game benefits for free-to-play games. Members will be able to unlock cosmetics, characters, in-game currency, and more for additional games, including Heroes of the Storm, Naraka: Bladepoint, and The Finals. Plus, we’re adding even more benefits starting in April 2025, like Call of Duty: Warzone and Enlisted.
Xbox Game Bar Gets A New Look On PC
Players may have noticed that Game Bar has a fresh new look. This marks the beginning of several visual enhancements that will be rolling out this week. The update includes a refreshed design for Game Bar and various utility widgets, including Home Bar, Capture widget, Performance widget, Resource widget, and Widget Store.
Additionally, we’ve made improvements to controller navigation within the Widget Store, ensuring a smoother experience when using Compact Mode on PCs and Windows Handhelds.
Seamless Shifts Between Xbox Cloud Gaming Titles
We’re making changes to how players shift between games on Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta), starting with Assassin’s Creed Shadows this month. Previously, players would need to return to the Xbox.com/play page to switch between games. Now, when playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows from xbox.com/play, players can directly launch other Assassin’s Creed games without needing to return to the Home page.
New Streamable Titles On Xbox Cloud Gaming
"This month, we’re adding more games to the Stream Your Own Game collection. Game Pass Ultimate members can stream over 50+ cloud playable games on supported devices if they own them.

Nice round of updates in this package. I do wonder if they'll announce when they're raising the cap on concurrent cloud players in the UK. It was 5k during FTC.
With all this 'Stream' games talk, Is backwards compat on the next gen PC-Xbox-hybrid going to be via Stream Only? Yikes!
Nice update - except streaming is not supported where I live. So not so nice for me.
@TheGiraffe Nah, they surely know that won't go down well. I don't see it happening personally.
@FraserG
They didn't know Xbox One original wouldn't go down well.
I just don't have confidence in MS like you and Kloudz do.
And they are such a big company that MS Gaming division can make major mistakes with a mid-sized group of customers/consumers and still have zero impact to the company overall.
