Late last week, we detailed three upcoming Xbox betas including one for Monster Hunter Wilds, with another Capcom beta period going ahead this weekend. However, since then the gaming world has experienced a massive outage over on the PlayStation Network - which has caused the Monster Hunter dev to extend its test.
Announced earlier today, Japanese game maker Capcom has revealed that the team's upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds beta period will now be extended by 24 hours. This extension is applicable to all platforms - despite last weekend's network outage only affecting PlayStation users.
This is a nice bonus for Xbox players, who will now be able to enjoy Monster Hunter Wilds in beta form until late on Monday, Feb. 17th in the US - and the early hours of Feb. 18th here in the UK. This second test will contain the same content as last weekend's Monster Hunter Wilds beta.
Once this next Capcom beta tests wraps up, players won't have long to wait for the full release. Monster Hunter Wilds hits Xbox Series X|S, alongside PS5 and PC, on February 28th, 2025.
Anyone planning to take advantage of this beta extension? Keep on huntin' down in the comments section below.

I hope the comments thread doesn't go the way I think it might.
Good news though. I'd been giving it a try on Xbox admittedly due to having more hard drive space left but good to see the extension being applied to all formats and not just one.
Hahaha 😂 Nice for those who will play it enjoy 👍
Saving myself for launch. Kinda hoping it's close to World, as that was amazing imo.
I played the beta. But there's lots you can't do. So I'll just wait for the full game.
Hey, that's pretty neat for everyone. Capcom really didn't have to compensate the outage like that and certainly not with a blanket response that benefited all platforms.
