Ready for another Xbox showcase after the amazing Developer Direct in January? Well, you're in luck! It's been announced today that the annual Xbox indie showcase (otherwise known as the ID@Xbox indie showcase) will take place on Monday, February 24th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT - and just like last year, it's being hosted by IGN.
Obviously the point of these showcases is to not give too much away, but it's already been revealed that the likes of Team17 and Don't Nod will be showing off their titles at the event. In fact, here's a list of confirmed studios so far:
- 11 Bit
- BigFan
- Critical Reflex
- Daedalic
- Game Source Entertainment
- No More Robots
- Panic
- Playstack
- Raw Fury
- Thunderlotus
- Cult Games
- Team17
- Curve
- Akapura
- Don’t Nod
Based on what we saw at the Xbox indie showcase in 2024, we're hoping for a bunch of Xbox Game Pass surprises too!
As usual, you'll be able to watch the entire Xbox indie showcase for 2025 with us here at Pure Xbox on the day, and we'll open up the live chatroom so you can discuss it with other PX members as well. Just keep in mind that it's usually a pretty lengthy event - we're talking about two hours in all - so you'll want to settle in for the long haul.
Of course, the alternative is to just wait for the coverage here at Pure Xbox, as we'll have a full recap of everything was revealed during the showcase, as well as all the Game Pass reveals that were announced. Bring on the 24th!
Anything you're hoping to see at the Xbox indie showcase 2025 in particular? Tell us down below.

Great more Indies 😎gunna be 💩 hot I bet. Probs not getting it but I'm getting my 🤡 makeup ready silksong let's gooo🤣😭
Silksong? While I felt Hollow Knight was overrated, that would be nice. It's very unlikely to appear, but you never know.
The list of devs taking part looks solid. Indies and Game Pass are a great fit so I’m definitely interested in the showcase.
Some good news at last I look forward to the crash bandicoot game to be announced for gamepass I'll be all over that!!
Any Microsoft Games Studio indie studio that wins an award will be shutdown within 6 months. RIP Tango Gameworks.
@Kilamanjaro , Ask yourself why Sony or Nintendo didn't grab the chance of obtaining the studio when they were up for grabs, if you think they would of made the company a profit.
Nice. Despite the narrative out there, Xbox keeps on rolling and I’m here for it!
Love me some good indies. Won’t be watching live because 4am Tuesday morning in my region and IGN hosting will drive me nuts. Looking forward to the coverage on this site.
Oof IGN again. Last one they did was super cringe and terribly produced. But hopefully, some good indies to see.

@Rog-X Microsoft literally provided absolutely no marketing for Hi Fi Rush. Nintendo or Sony aren't known for acquiring everything under the sub. The studio got acquired within 3 months of closure announcement. Xbox barely know how to work with the Japanese market or their studios if 20+ years of trying has shown anything . Sony & Nintendo have great Quality Assurance & provide adequate marketing for their releases. Nintendo straight owns the concept of shadow dropping hits during their Nintendo Directs & it's after carefully curating those for their audiences. Xbox does a "here's what we got" series of random devs and personalities playing demos for games. I'll admit the Xbox format got much better the past year compared to the messes they were before. Pure Xbox should do a poll showing the rankings of Xbox showcases since they launched. I bet they've improved over time. December was a great month for Xbox so cynicism aside, I hope this Indie Direct focuses on great games AND that Xbox supports the ones that make a splash. I am a big Xbox fan so hope for the best but have been disappointed the last year. Sorry for the rant. Your points are valid.
Raw Fury and Team 17 are always great
Great ! That's what we want, to talk about games, not speculations or other usual media extrapolations! Xbox ID always brings its share of little gems, and I can't wait to see the next ones. I loved Dungeons of Hinterberg (for those who haven't played it, I highly recommend it), and I remember other gems like Death's Door, Planet of Lana, and others that magically appeared in Game Pass! A little Silksong, I wouldn't say no! But since the studio "Team Cherry" is not on the list, I doubt it!
@Rog-X Nintendo is not one to aquire studios left and right, and when they do, they usually have a long relationship with them.
As for Sony... I don't think smaller studios were in their radar back then and to some extent even now, unfortunately.
