I'm gunna assume that NG Sigma is better, or more fuller, rather, than NG Black?
I think Black is above Sigma. But I can't remember. The last non-NES time I played a Ninja Gaiden game was 2 at launch. Maybe someone else can confirm.
@Kaloudz Sigma vs Black is like Quantity vs Quality. Sigma does add some content, but it removed and changed other parts of the game in the process. Black is more refined and most will agree that between the two, Black is the optimal experience.
@Kaloudz Like others stated I always found Black to be the superior NG experience.
@old-dad @Broosh Thanks guys. I'm new to the series so this whole Sigma, Black, OG etc... really spun my head. I've taken what you've said on board and applied it to NG 2 (deleted Sigma and installed the new Black). Fingers crossed I make it through haha.
@Kaloudz the optimal experience would be Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox) and Ninja Gaiden 2 (360). This new Ninja Gaiden 2 Black has more in common with the inferior NG2 Sigma. By backwards compatibility they both run at high resolutions and a solid 60fps.
@Kinswang Thanks man. I'll give it a looksie. What's with all the black and sigma? Does that have any relevance? Or are they just titles to confuse the average player like me? 😅
@Kaloudz I’m only speaking for the original NG1 but Sigma has more story content (Rachel chapters) and wielding dual swords is what I really remember. But for me, I always felt NG Black played better, had better puzzles, etc. I think Black had better costumes but to be honest, it very well could be nostalgia glasses blurring my vision, lol.
Great, now I have to play NG1 again lol
@old-dad Haha, yeah see that's what I'm hearing. I'm hearing that (I think Sigma games) have cut all the puzzles out or something, as well as a few other things, but packed in extra content for the story? Also, is that lady you're on about, the blonde woman that doesn't seem to be bothered by the cold?
