Update: We mentioned below that we were suspicious about both of these, and it seems our spidey-senses may have been correct! Like a Dragon: Ishin! has now vanished from the "Leaving Soon" section, but DIRT 5 remains at the time of writing. We're keeping our fingers crossed that neither will depart on October 31st.
Original story: Earlier this week, we found out that five games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of October 2024, although some eagle-eyed Xbox fans have spotted that another two titles have been added to the list since then.
Those two games are Like a Dragon: Ishin and DIRT 5, with at least the former set to leave on October 31st according to the Xbox app. You can see proof of these games in the list down below, but we're a bit suspicious about them.
The main thing that doesn't add up for us is that DIRT 5 is an EA Play game. EA could be delisting it soon, but we haven't heard about that yet, and it's not unknown for games to be mistakenly added to these "leaving soon" lists at times.
At least according to the app though, we could be losing both of these within the next two weeks, and we did include Like a Dragon: Ishin! in our list of October predictions a few weeks ago - so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Would you be sad to lose either of these from Xbox Game Pass? Let us know down in the comments below.

Maybe Dirt will be replaced by EA WRC?
Dirt 5, I'm feeling nostalgic. Haven't played that in a long time. Working through frog detective before it leaves for the achievement a day. Though don't actually need them for the monthly reward but best using them before they go.
I just started like a dragon last week. I have two kids a job. I’m most likely not gonna get to finish it. Grrrr that peaves me off
@FraserG Like a dragon ishin just disappeared from the list of games leaving. Put both ishin and dirt 5 to install 2 hours ago, came back to play, decided to check again. Dirt 5 still there tho.
Have any other yakuza games ever left game pass? I’d like to play this one, but I’m in more of a hurry to play 7 and gaiden first so I can play infinite wealth.
@redgrave0 hey thanks! Good news
@AdolBannings-Laylee someone said it’s not leaving anymore. We’re in luck
@AdolBannings-Laylee I'm the same. It had been sitting on my to play list for ages. I was gonna get through LAD (the end game grind is real and devastating) before going into Gaiden and Ishiin. Devastated.
@Evilinsane oh that part of the game where we realize we're not as strong as we imagine lol
Actually I find that part a little unbalanced and breaks the game's rhythm but at least it's the only part of the game where you'll need to grind. After that you'll be able to finish it without trouble
@jesse_dylan Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 left once but soon came back. They usually stay for a long long time.
It appears like a dragon ishin is no longer leaving game pass soon
It was reported yesterday that two more games are leaving Gamepass including LAD Ishin.
I looked at the Gamepass app now to see the leaving soon section and it's no longer there. Guess it was a bug or they extended the Gamepass period
@Foxx_64740 It was a real down point in an otherwise wonderful game. I dislike the grind in any game when it is necessary to complete the game. I don't mind it for optional bits, but this was to complete the game. Very disappointing, and I hope they fixed it in the sequel. Every other Yakuza/LAD game hasn't had a grind, or it's been barely noticable.
@AdolBannings-Laylee You could always just buy that Like A Dragon game for really cheap somewhere if you wanted... One of the cooler parts about Xbox verses PlayStation when it comes to getting games digitally... They actually let other online stores sell games keys. So that means there are a lot of places to buy digital games for a hell of a lot cheaper than what PlayStation would ever let its games go for digitally.
AKA CD Keys G2A etc.
No, LaD: Ishin isn't leaving, at least in Canada.
@redgrave0 Thank you for the tag! Article has been updated.
I have Dirt 5 on Steam and loved it. I had my gaming PC with no consoles other than the Switch at the time so it was the game that made me feel like I was playing a “next gen” title lol. That aside, it was just a really fun racing game. Kinda want to go back to it now.
Oh no, I have been really into LAD Ishin, looks like I'll have to speed up my completion of it.
