Yep, it's officially Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launch week, and Microsoft is going all-out as it prepares for its first-ever COD launch on Xbox Game Pass. Following on from last week's new line of BO6 accessories comes a brand-new dynamic background for Xbox Series X|S - and it's giving huge Black Ops 1 vibes.
Sporting the classic Black Ops look — featuring a shady looking soldier with two pistols on-hand — this new dynamic background is available now to all Xbox Series X and S users. Here's a little showcase of the background in action:
We're digging this one so far; the subtle animation seems to work quite well with this particular background, and it all feels quite sleek when applied on the dash. Feel free to head to the customisation area on your Xbox console to give this one a whirl for yourself!
If you want to get more physical with your Black Ops 6 customisation, we have new Xbox controller and console wrap options to mark the game's launch week. Yep, the new Call of Duty hits Xbox on Friday, October 25th - and it's available day one on Game Pass.
Excited for this? Tell us if you're applying the background and going full Black Ops 6 down below!

Sweet I'll stick that on tonight getting close now can't wait for Friday mw3 multiplayer has no appeal since the beta 🎉
Also the pre download is available to download
The download was 125.74 GB for me (not sure if it varies)and it was available at 9am when I searched for updates
Don’t forget in the main downloading process you can pick and choose what you download now to save memory.
@Lucylu1983 cod is just getting bigger and bigger and I really dont like it. There should be a way to compress files better. 125gb seems alot and it will probablydownload more on launch:(
I want them to add some more game-neutral abstract backgrounds. Why have abandoned that category? Boo!
COD Install size (on my Series X)…204.1GB
Call of Duty base game (HQ) - 41.4GB
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 pre-downloaded update - 93.4GB
Call of Duty MWIII Campaign- 53.9GB
Saved data (2 items) - 15.4GB (“Reserved space”)
Maybe the Reserved space is for the streaming they mentioned?
Do we need to download the MWIII Campaign?
@RetroMan71 - no need to download (unless you want that campaign too)
