Black Ops 6 Leaked Physical Copy Hints At Huge File Size On Xbox

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but it sounds like the install size for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is going to be fairly darn chunky, folks. Leaked copies have appeared online for the Xbox version, with the back of the box stating that users will need 137GB of storage space to install the title.

Now, these back-of-the-box estimates aren't always 100% accurate — this number could certainly differ at launch — but with this being a 'minimum' requirement, we're fully expecting Black Ops 6 to be this sort of size on October 25th.

As you can see in the tweet there, the new COD game will need Call of Duty HQ to be installed, as the game will update and play through that app. Also, despite these copies now appearing in the wild, they can't actually be played yet due to the game's need for a constant internet connection, with Activision blocking this access for now.

The teams at Activision and Treyarch have hinted that file sizes will be reduced for this year's game (it'll apparently be a smaller download than Modern Warfare 3), and we'd certainly like to see that here. It's also worth noting that modern Call of Duty titles usually allow the user to uninstall chunks of the game they're not playing, so hopefully this cleans up that overall install footprint as well.

What do you make of this apparent Xbox file size for Black Ops 6? Go ahead and discuss down below.
