Microsoft has announced its Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast will take place later this month on Thursday, September 26th.
Content from Xbox Game Studios, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment and Bethesda will be shared. Xbox will also be showcasing an "exciting lineup of games from third-party partners" who are mainly based in Japan and across Asia.
You'll be able to tune in via the Tokyo Game Show official YouTube channel (as well as here at Pure Xbox!) at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am BST / 7pm JST. Here's a little bit about the new logo for this year's show, along with another look:
"Every year, Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show logo is redesigned to showcase a unique, Japan-inspired theme. This year, the iconic Xbox Nexus, a Japanese player and a lucky black cat have been paired together and given a sci-fi look. We hope that this year’s Xbox theme brings players around the world good luck and great joy in their gaming pursuits."
As usual, we'll be covering all of the Xbox-related news at this year's Tokyo Game Show - so be on the lookout for updates later this month.

I wish MS would bring back Blizzcon instead of just doing these events.
Ace Attorney 456 join XGP?
More ports for Ps5?
@Gkobz Forza Horizon 5? Starfield?
So many choices. What will it be.. WHAT WILL IT BE?
But yeah probably ports for PS5.
What's the point? They have pretty much less than a 1% presence in Japan and they blew their only real shot they've ever had when they shut down Tango. AFTER Tango launched a successful anime game. They will never be forgiven for that.
I expect we may see Square Enix's multiplatform Xbox strategy unfold 😀. A few surprises would be nice. As hiring Mena Sato Kato could be a stroke of genius.
My ignore list sure is getting full, 3 more for the pile.
@cragis0001 I Hope your right, I could use a cool new JRPG.
That Game Show logo does look cool.
@Gkobz Exactly. Imagine, the hype for 2 months of them being at Gamescom and all anyone remembers and talked about was Indiana Jones for PS5.
@cragis0001 I mean what does something like that entail? Wouldn't an announcement at Gamescom have been better?
Rebirth was only a 3 month timed deal. Since May 29th an Xbox version could be announced, FFXVI since last December, Remake even longer ago. What IS the hold up? Bad communication from slimy Phil not replying to emails???
If Crisis Core Reunion had sold well on Xbox back in 2021, you wouldn't have to be crossing your fingers like this. But it didn't, it was ABYSMAL sales.
@andrewsqual you talk about exclusive deals from scummy Sony but call Phil slimy 😅😅😅. I don't know what the hold up is? ask Square Enix 😅😅😅.
Crisis Core Reunion sold like ass on Nintendo Switch as well. But again like I said before. Who is gonna buy a prequel to the FF7 trilogy on Xbox/Switch if you need a PS5 to finish it 😅😅😅. So it was obvious it was gonna sell on PlayStation.
I want to hear about Japanese games, not activision, blizzard, and Bethesda.
@NostromoXP me too. I've enjoyed having a good selection of japanese titles on Xbox again 👍
@GADG3Tx87 everyone is losing share in Japan besides Nintendo. Sony is also struggling, and Sony has practically shifted entirely to being a western property. Xbox actually has quite a lot of Japanese games on the platform, including on game pass, and pc game pass in particular does well there. Just because people keep repeating “no one in Japan plays Xbox” doesn’t make it true.
@GADG3Tx87 you could send an email to Microsoft with your global market analysis, maybe they declare you CEO.
Ah right it's that time again, reminding me of forgotten wishes and one of them is entire line-up of Kiseki series on Xbox. This year might finally be it!?
I'm hoping for pixel remasters for Xbox announcement maybe even shadow drop doubt it though 😥
@Tasuki This event is important for three reasons: it allows Xbox to nurture a working relationship with developers and publishers, connect with japanese gamers directly and raise the platform's profile in a very important market. I hope they never abandon Japan.
