It's no secret that Phil Spencer and his team at Xbox are rumoured to be working on some kind of new handheld device, and there's also been a big focus over the past year on adapting the Xbox PC app for existing handhelds.
This week, The Verge's Tom Warren even spotted that one was included in the artwork accompanying Xbox's new friend request feature, which we believe marks the first time a handheld has ever appeared in one of these.
Xbox's senior social media manager "Stein" retweeted the post a couple of days ago as well.
As Warren mentions, this clearly shows how important devices like the ASUS ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go have become to Team Xbox. It's also interesting how the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S aren't actually represented in visual form here aside from the big picture on the main TV - we wouldn't read into that too much though!
We still don't know what'll become of these Xbox handheld rumours as things stand, but it's been suggested that prototypes have been made at Microsoft - so fingers crossed we'll find out more in the not too distant future.
