When the Xbox 360 store officially closed forever back in July, one of the games that went with it was Activision's 2010 FPS Singularity, which unfortunately has never been made backwards compatible for modern consoles.
However, out of the blue this week, the game was suddenly relisted on the Microsoft Store - the catch being that it's only the PC version as things stand. It's available to buy for £14.99 / $29.99, with the release date listed as September 12th.
This has naturally piqued the curiosity of a lot of Xbox fans, who are wondering whether a potential new addition to backwards compatibility on Xbox could be in the works. We haven't seen any titles getting added to the BC library since way back in November 2021, but now that Microsoft owns Activision, there's potential for it to happen.
We've seen these kinds of relistings in the past and they often hint at an upcoming addition to Xbox Game Pass, so perhaps Singularity is just getting prepared for a PC launch on that service. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that it might make its way to Xbox as well though - it's been far too long since we got a new backwards compatible title!
