During its Sonic Central broadcast this week, SEGA shared another look at the upcoming release Sonic X Shadow Generations.

This time the focus was on the story in Shadow's game including the return of...spoiler alert...Melphiles. Black Doom also returns and you can see Maria in the latest clip as well. Here's a brief description, courtesy of SEGA:

"When a disturbing omen stirs Shadow's memories, he must relive his past.
Black Doom—Shadow's nemesis—reemerges and threatens to take over the world. Shadow must journey into his past, confront his painful memories, and unlock new dark powers to save the world."

In addition to this, PlayStation's 'State of Play' broadcast revealed Keanu Reeves will be joining Sonic X Shadow Generations as part of an upcoming 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack', where he'll also voice Shadow.

SEGA has issued a reminder that PlayStation players will receive an extended prologue animation in the October release. This was originally revealed back in June of this year.

Sonic X Shadow Generations arrives for Xbox Series X|S on October 25, 2024. Pre-orders are now live and there will also be a three day early access period from October 22nd.
