Cal Kestis has developed quite the fanbase over the years and if you're wondering what's next for him (and BD-1), EA has now officially confirmed the "final chapter" in the Star Wars Jedi series is in development.

During a presentation at EA's investor relations day, EA Entertainment and Technology president Laura Miele mentioned how the next chapter would be the last, with work already underway (thanks, VGC).

"Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players."

It was also noted how EA's Star Wars games have delivered over "$5 billion in net bookings" with over "40 million Star Wars fans" reportedly connecting with Cal Kestis on his pathway to becoming a "powerful Jedi". This week, Respawn Entertainment also released Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on the Xbox One.

EA's update on its own Star Wars project follows the launch of Ubisoft's new open-world game Star Wars Outlaws last month - with the game's director admitting the team was "a little disappointed" with the aggregate review scores.

Have you played Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor yet? Looking forward to the third game? Let us know.
