If you've been playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 on Xbox over the past few days, you may have noticed that a new hotfix went live on Wednesday - fixing a few bugs and crashes that have cropped up during the release period.
There are bigger plans for September in the works though, with a larger patch set to arrive for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with all other platforms) later this month. We've also got three features have been teased for it so far:
- Ultrawide support
- Private PvE lobbies
- Sparring Arena in the Battle Barge
Obviously we haven't got much interest in the former from an Xbox perspective, but the latter two features should be present on Xbox Series X and S - and apparently there are other things in the patch that aren't being mentioned yet.
To be honest though, we're just having a blast with Space Marine 2 in its current state on Xbox, to the point where we described it as "one of the best action games we've played in a long while" in our 9/10 Pure Xbox review. We're looking forward to what future updates will bring, but it's a game we can already highly recommend before they arrive!

I think private PvE lobbies will be a great addition, me and a friend ended up with a bot for the 3rd marine and it was fine for the lower difficulty. Mostly now I am waiting to see what they add in way of new operations and well story dlc (which I assume is a good bit down the road).
