Larian Studios has fully detailed Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 this week, as the huge update begins rolling out to PC players. The team has been talking about this one for a while — we've known about it since at least April — but looking at these PC patch notes, we can understand why it's been in the works for so long.
Yep, this is a massive update, and when it finally does come to Xbox, console players will have access to mod support, improved evil endings, split-screen improvements and absolutely loads more - although cross-play and photo mode have been delayed to future updates.
Still, because of the gargantuan nature of Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7, Larian says "it’s going to take a little longer to get this patch through all the necessary technical checks and requirements" for console players. At the minute, the team is aiming for October 2024 on Xbox, but we don't have a more specific arrival date beyond that just yet.

Coming up on a year since it released on xbox and still no sign of crossplatform play...had i known they would kick that option to the wasteside i would have never purchased it
@HeavyHoggJP crossplay is the big update I am waiting for as well. I play on PS5 and every single one of my friends who has it plays on PC. Larian have said it’s still happening and tbf to them they have been regularly supporting with excellent updates. Maybe it’s not an easy thing to implement.
Does it finally fix the weird audio glitches where someone dies and you hear their scream a second or two later? Played the whole game 150 hours with that last year
not purchased yet as still have so many other games to play, but not in a rush when they keep adding content like this... looking forward to playing a finished game in another year or two!
@GeeEssEff I am just like you. All my friends r PC except im series X lol. I cannot wait for mods though !
Good to hear there'll be mod support, but I really want that cross platform function so I can team up with my friends on PC.
