So far, we know very little about Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass lineup for next month, but the often-accurate leaker eXtas1s has today revealed a major addition to the service for September 2024.
According to the insider, Ubisoft's open world, extreme sports-racing mashup Riders Republic will enter the library next month. The title will apparently go live for Xbox Game Pass members on September 11th, although the source is keen to stress that any specific dates "can vary a little", depending on Microsoft's plans.
Riders Republic released back in 2021, and at the time, we really loved what we played of it. In fact, we called it "one of the best extreme sports games on Xbox" in our full review, which you can read over down below ahead of the game's rumoured addition to Xbox Game Pass.
As usual, we must stress that this is just a rumour at the moment, and the news hasn't been confirmed by Microsoft yet. However, eXtas1s is building a bit of a reputation for accurate Game Pass leaks at the moment, with the insider correctly revealing recent additions such as Mafia: Definitive Edition, Octopath Traveler 2 and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, among others.

Removed - unconstructive
It's a shame that the skateboard content is DLC, but this is basically the equivalent of Forza Horizon for extreme sports. Haven't played it since the beta, but it was fun as heck.
Im not sure this is huge win or anything, its pretty old now.
But for those that enjoy these types of games, this is really full of fun content as long as you can handle a little clumsiness in terms of multi player collisions, which can get very frustrating. But the downhill biking is fantastically fast and furious, and the 'trails' bike sections are a big counterpoint once youve mastered the necessary skills. Flying around the landscape in your wing suit from event to event is the icing on an appetising cake. I hope this does come to GP and Id urge you to try it when it does. Work through some initial jank and many will enjoy it..
Yeah, I wouldn’t call this a major addition at all at this point. It’s old and can be had super cheap.
I didn't see what a lot of other people saw in Riders Republic. I found the gameplay dull and the controls fiddly. Still, if one hasn't picked it up on the countless occasions it's been massively discounted then GP is a good excuse to at least look at it.

After a quick glance at the small thumbnail, I got excited for Avatar. Now I'm disappointed it wasn't the game.
I was hoping for Prince of Persia or assassins creed mirage.
I've been interested in trying this game, so if it comes to GP then I'll give it a try!

Great game. Only played certain bits of it, but it’s immense fun so really happy if the rumour turns out to be true
I know it lacks some of the activities in this, but TBH I much prefer STEEP.
Though if we could ever get a new Amped game, that felt like an Amped game, I would be set.

NICE!!!! Played a bit of this on the PS4 (didn't run that great), but it was so much fun. Hopefully it runs better on the Series S. Will definitely jump back into this.
Cocoon is set to leave Game Pass on October 1. Star Wars Dark Forces remastered is either getting a permanent price drop or joining game pass on Aug 29, not sure which.
Will give it a try when it appears on Gamepass.
