Bethesda has delivered the goods at Gamescom this year with some major Starfield news! First off, the team's much-anticipated land vehicle has been dubbed 'Rev-8' - and it's actually out for all players TODAY!
Yep, this off-road buggy brings a much-desired new mode of transport to Bethesda's sci-fi epic, and you can catch the team having a whole lot of fun with it in the trailer up above. Oh, and in other major Starfield news, the Shattered Space expansion is officially out on September 30th! Just a small little extra there...

Today's free update even brings new frame rate options (including 60FPS) to Xbox Series S players, too.
"Starfield’s latest free update is here and is bringing a highly-requested feature: the REV-8 land vehicle! Now is your chance to explore new frontiers (and reach new heights) in your very own land cruiser."
Hyped to go hands on with the Rev-8? Tell us where you're heading down below!

splendid, looks great, though probs tomorrow for UK
Soooo no Starfield for playstation... Lets see if Forza or Indiana Jones will go there ooor if all the rumours were just rumours.
I guess that will be nice for people that wanted it.
IMO the areas are too small for it to be be useful. I don't even use the jetpack. That said, driving around in low G like on Elite Dangerous could be fun.
Kinda surprised the buggy got this full trailer and the DLC got a quick announcement.
Got the nagging feeling this is going to be a creation
I wonder what time today?
Huge! The show is awesome so far
@abe_hikura it literally says 'free update' in the trailer
and I think shattered space is getting full coverage in one of the xbox presentations this week?
No way is this a Creation Club download. I am hyped for this. I am just finishing up the main campaign and ready to build outposts and explore. Perfect timing, honestly.
Awesome stuff, look forward to the update dropping soon
It looks cool but the planets are so small that i don't see the point. NMS needed transport because the planets are massive to the point it would take real life actual days to explore them but Starfield it takes minutes on foot to explore them.
it's dropped... 18.5GB
With the vehicles, it's finally time to continue my play through. I was sort of going through the motions with Witcher 3 until this came out so this is awesome news.
Woo one more month for shattered space! I'm not interested in the land vehicle, but happy for those that wanted it! Outpost creation is too precise to be driving around. (gotta get that 5 element sweet spot!)
So back to this game, the fps boost, the vehicle and the DLC, Ready to start my ng+ and ng++
@InterceptorAlpha No they most certainly weren't too small. There's a reason this exists and was in strong demand, being only able to run and boost to places--which was SLOW--was a serious, serious problem.
@DennisReynolds Again, no they aren't. Besides, NMS planets are equally monotonous, once you've landed on one you've seen everything it has to offer, you've seen it's parameters. There's literally no reason to travel across them like that other to go to PoI's, which you can just fly to.
Starfield had nothing other than fast travel, this vehicle will dramatically improve the game. I'm stunned you people don't realise that.
Don't think I will ever finish the game....got burnt out doing side missions then moved onto other games...tried to get back into it but couldn't
The formula is just stale to me....can't see much being different for elders scrolls or even the next fallout
@InheritNegative And I whole heatedly disagree. I generally clear all POIs at a landing zone in 15 minutes or less. Again, without a jet pack and I'm saying this as something that has ~300 hours and have visited every planet in the game.
To add, the entire game is designed to where a jetpack isn't even required.
I welcome options for other players. But I personally have no use for them.
Given how small plantery areas are, Im not sure the vehicle has as much use as people imagine? However, it was fun enough in mass effect, so for anyone still playing this, they may get some fun!
Oh look, a band aid on a flooding dam lol
@GeorgeKal good, PS don't deserve starfield...
This is a nice addition. Walking with all my gear got tiresome/time consuming when just exploring!
