Gamescom has been so busy this year that you may have forgotten a whole new Sniper Elite game got announced last week! Yep, Rebellion's next Nazi nut-crusher Sniper Elite: Resistance is coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2025, and we have a chunk of early gameplay for you all up above.

Via IGN, the developer has made roughly 10 minutes of fresh Sniper Elite: Resistance gameplay available to the public. It's pretty much as-you'd-expect for this upcoming SE title - which is a side-story to 2022's Sniper Elite 5.

"Offering unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the attention of the award-winning series towards a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France."

Yes, we know this looks awfully similar to the last game in the team's long-running series, but honestly, we're not sure we care at this point. In a world where games are trying to be built over about eight years with over-inflated budgets, we'll take all the Sniper Elite familiarity we can get these days!

Also, just like the last one, Resistance is a day one Game Pass title, so there's no real hit to the wallet for GP subscribers - and we cannot complain at that. Rebellion's Sniper Elite: Resistance has its rickety old sniper scope set for 2025 on Xbox Game Pass.
