The upcoming free-to-play football / soccer game UFL has resurfaced over the past few days with an open beta for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with PS5), and now the team has committed to a full release date for the game.
You'll be able to kick off with UFL on September 12th, 2024 for those aforementioned consoles, and anyone who's really keen can also get early access along with exclusive benefits for buying a "pre-order bundle" on the Xbox Store.
If you're not aware of it, UFL is essentially an Ultimate Team-style game in which your goal is to build a squad of players and compete against others online. Its focus is on providing a "fair philosophy" that doesn't involve pay-to-win elements.
It'll be interesting to see how the full release stacks up alongside EA FC 25 and eFootball 2024 when it arrives in a few weeks' time, but in any case, you can bet it'll be a very popular release when it launches on Xbox this September.
"UFL is a free-to-play football video game. It offers a challenging and exciting gaming experience, featuring a dynamic, exciting football universe, skill-based challenges, a rich metagame, continuous progress, and a fair philosophy."
