It's been a week since Fallout: London made its debut as a DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 on PC, and after taking a look at the reviews over the past few days, we're now even more jealous that there's no sign of an Xbox version.
The reception for this (free) mod has been extremely positive so far, with reviews scoring it highly and the community taking to social media to share their enthusiasm for it. Here's a sample of some of those impressions:
Looking at the official reviews, the one that captures our attention the most is the 9/10 from PCGamesN, with the outlet remarkably claiming that it's the "best Fallout game since New Vegas". There aren't many other formal reviews out there just yet, but those that we've spotted seem to be hovering anywhere from 7/10 to 9/10 for the most part.
It's not all super positive news, though. The GOG rating stands at 3.5/5, and that's probably because of a variety of technical issues that have plagued Fallout: London since launch, along with various bugs that have been identified. There's also been a fair bit of pushback to the suggestion that it's a better game than Bethesda would have made:
In any case, it's clear that Fallout: London is making a great impression so far, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that it ends up on Xbox eventually. The development team has shown an interest in bringing it to Xbox, but apparently that decision rests with Bethesda - Team FOLON needs help to create a standalone version for consoles.
For now, you can play Fallout: London either via a Steam installation or via GOG (the easiest route). The Xbox Game Pass for PC version of Fallout 4 sadly doesn't support the mod, but hopefully that'll change at some point in the future.
Have you tried Fallout: London on PC yet? Is it worth all this hype? Tell us down in the comments below.

Do what you're saying is: London is going to be ignored even harder than New Vegas was for any kind of potential support.
I'm hoping Microsoft can work with the team to bring it to console. Would be a great Unique Selling Point for Xbox.
In the meantime does anyone know how/if it runs on Steam Deck?
I don't plan on buying the game. But if it gets added to gamepass, I'd like to check it out.
@Mustoe yeah but you need to buy the full game to use the mod. And I don't want to buy that game.
I’m not up with all this modding, but why aren’t the developers making things like this.
@Mustoe that’s a shame, thanks for the added insight
Fallout London needs a Forgotten City treatment. I want to play it, but I don’t have a PC to try it!
@BowsersBuddy The full game is on GP the problem is you need to install the mod on a specific version number and the one on gamepass is a newer version. It's just extra work to get it sorted whereas a Steam user can just roll back to a previous version, and the GoG version never got the update that breaks this mod in the first place.
Thinking of checking this out will definitely get It on GoG as that seems the easiest to play the mod on.

Weird to see a fallout with almost all the buildings and landmarks still standing. Maybe in the lore Europe wasnt hit that hard I guess.
NV is really good, but I don't think it's the best one. That goes to 3.
Isn't 3.5/5 a 7?
Never got into Fallout, think it's too big a time commitment and maybe I got bored watching a friend play solo for an hour straight and pick up everything hoarding that it turned me off 16 years ago in Fallout 3 😂 I'd honestly think I'd love this game since I like Elder Scrolls and enjoyed parts of Starfield
@Mustoe I don't want to buy the game because I'm not a fan of the game. Why would I buy something I won't play? I just said I wanted to try it. Not play it. When I say try, I mean like just walk around London and see how it looks, then uninstall.
I'm not a console gamer. I switched to PC. I bought every game I play or have played. I've also bought all the gamepass games I've played and enjoyed. Like I bought ni no kuni 2 and scarlet nexus on steam after playing it on gamepass.
@BowsersBuddy yeah they said that the gamepass version isn't supported. So you would need the full game on either gog or steam.
@fizban3332 Lore wise Europe was actually way way worse off than the US. Before the bombs fell on the US Europe had just come out of a massively costly war with the Middle East over oil. It's also heavily implied that the UK is an extremely godawful place to live, in Fallout 3 there's a character who moved from the UK to the Capital Wasteland (which, of all the places in post-war US is one of the worst places to live as it's basically a barely livable, irradiated, slaver and mutant filled s***hole) for a better life and to seek his fortune, the implication being that life in the UK is somehow even worse than the previously mentioned barely livable, irradiated slaver and mutant filled s***hole.
