Copa City Dev 'Certainly Interested' In Bringing New Football Game To Xbox Game Pass

Last week, we published our exclusive interview here at Pure Xbox with the narrative lead behind upcoming football (or "soccer") tycoon game Copa City, and it got us excited about the possibility of an Xbox Game Pass release!

We straight-up asked if the "football event simulator" could make its way to Xbox's subscription service at some point in the future, and it was advised to us that the team is "certainly interested" in the idea:

"Pure Xbox: Could we see Copa City on Xbox Game Pass? What do you think about the service in general?"

"Xbox Game Pass is a great service which many people use, providing an expanding library of games, but we will see what the future holds for us. We are certainly interested in Xbox Game Pass, but don’t want to promise anything before we are certain."

As discussed in the interview, Copa City isn't your standard EA FC-style experience - instead, it's focused on the organisation behind major matches in which you need to plan things like security, transportation and fan experiences.

We're loving the idea behind this one, and now we're just eager to get our hands on it ASAP. There's no release date yet (it's expected in 2025), so there's plenty of time for Xbox Game Pass to secure a deal. Get it signed up, Microsoft!
